About the Team

Workday is strategically expanding into the identity management space to govern access for both employees and AI agents across the enterprise. As enterprise adoption of autonomous agents accelerates, CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs are facing a critical governance challenge: how to manage identity, access, provisioning, lifecycle automation, and least-privilege controls across a combined workforce of people and AI agents.
Workday is establishing a specialized Identity team focused on helping enterprise customers modernize identity governance and access management for this new era of work. As a member of our diverse and skilled Identity presales team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's identity governance capabilities, expected to become part of Workday's Agent System of Record, to prospects and customers. This team sits at the exciting intersection of Sales, Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management, giving you exposure to all areas of the business while helping customers reduce access risk, strengthen compliance, automate identity lifecycle processes, and unlock trusted AI adoption at scale.
The Revenue organization at Workday is grounded in integrity, innovation, accountability, and collaboration. We are looking for experienced solution architects who can build trusted executive relationships, shape complex security and identity focused sales cycles, and help accelerate market adoption in a strategic growth area for Workday.

About the Role

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Workday customers and prospects, crafting the overall identity governance and access management solution strategy to achieve their business objectives. With expertise in identity and security domains and a strong understanding of enterprise SaaS solutions, you will establish yourself as a leader with a valued point of view on how organizations should govern access for both human workers and AI agents.

You are comfortable engaging CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, senior technology leaders, security executives, and ecosystem partners, translating complex identity governance, provisioning, access review, least-privilege, lifecycle automation, compliance, and AI governance requirements into clear, compelling solution strategies and executive-level value propositions.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers on identity governance, authentication, authorization, and access control strategies.
  • Architect and deliver technical solutions spanning IGA, IAM, CIEM, and PAM, mapping business requirements into scalable identity architectures.
  • Lead workshops, whiteboard sessions, and demos that showcase the business value of identity automation, access governance, and zero trust.
  • Design and implement integration strategies across AWS, GCP, and Azure, with a strong understanding of native identity services, policies, and entitlement models.
  • Nerd out on protocols and standards like SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and FIDO2 — and explain them to both engineers and CISOs.
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot custom integrations and workflows using APIs, SDKs, and Terraform/automation frameworks.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends (IGA, CIEM, Just-in-Time access, Zero Trust, identity for machine/non-human accounts) and share thought leadership with internal teams and customers.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
