Architecture Role

Citi is looking for a Lead IT Architect to shape the technology landscape of a global financial institution, driving enterprise-wide architectural strategy across complex, large-scale IT systems. In this role, you will serve as a recognized technical authority — translating sophisticated business challenges into robust, forward-thinking solutions that directly influence the performance and direction of the technology function. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced architect ready to lead with both technical depth and strategic vision.

Responsibilities

·       Lead the design and execution of enterprise IT architecture across major, complex technology programs, ensuring all solutions align with established enterprise blueprints and long-term technology strategy.

·       Build and maintain technology roadmaps by evaluating emerging technologies and translating their potential into actionable business recommendations.

·       Design end-to-end systems architecture and provide technical leadership across the full systems development lifecycle, from concept through to delivery.

·       Translate complex business requirements into scalable, well-structured technical solutions that address real-world operational needs.

·       Evaluate and recommend infrastructure, platforms, and communication frameworks that support Citi's IT goals and evolving technology needs.

·       Drive integrated systems planning by identifying and championing innovative technologies that strengthen and modernize existing capabilities.

·       Act as a senior technical advisor to stakeholders across business and technology teams, guiding architecture decisions through expert counsel and collaborative influence.

·       Mentor and support junior team members, sharing architectural knowledge and fostering technical growth across the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

·       6 to 10 years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or a related technical discipline.

·       Demonstrated ability to design and deliver solutions for complex, enterprise-scale technology environments.

·       Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·       Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities simultaneously.

·       Ability to build effective working relationships across technology and business teams, including external stakeholders where required.

·       Self-motivated and adaptable, with the initiative to take ownership of new challenges and deliver results under pressure and to tight deadlines.

·       Methodical approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail and sound analytical thinking.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 53,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 188,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
