About the Role

We're hiring a Finance and Operations Lead to help keep Squint's financial and operational engine running as we scale.

This is a generalist role: you'll support core finance processes, while also picking up cross-functional projects that don't have an obvious owner yet.

What You’ll Do
  • Be a critical part of the finance function: You'll help manage our annual forecasting, financial forecasting and modeling, monthly revenue review, and other strategic initiatives.

  • Drive GTM analytics: You'll dig into our go-to-market data to surface insights and drive improvements across the GTM process — working extremely closely with the sales team to build a deep understanding of our business, our customers, and how the market works.

  • Keep the operational trains running: You'll own and improve recurring processes — reporting, reconciliations, documentation — that keep the business organized as it grows.

  • Special Projects: You'll take on business critical initiatives working closely with the VP, Finance and Operations, CRO, and CEO. Examples of projects include structuring a new pricing model and analyzing industry or geos that Squint should invest in.

  • Take on cross-functional projects: From a new vendor contract to a process gap between departments, you'll be a go-to person for "someone needs to own this" — if it falls under the Finance and Operations umbrella and no one else owns it, it's fair game.

  • Build with AI. You use AI tools and automation to shrink the time between question and answer. You build scalable infrastructure that keeps pace with Squint's speed of growth.

About you
  • You're detail-oriented and comfortable owning process, not just tasks.

  • You're a strong Excel/spreadsheet user and pick up new tools quickly.

  • You're energized by variety — one day is close support, the next is a cross-functional project.

  • You default to figuring things out rather than waiting to be told exactly how.

What You’ll Bring
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business operations (consulting, banking, or startup ops background all welcome).

  • Hands-on experience with financial modeling.

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

  • A track record of being a trusted operational partner, not just an executor of instructions.

Benefits

Based out of our office in San Francisco, we love the energy of in-person collaboration.

  • Competitive Salary and Equity

  • Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental care

  • Flexible PTO Policy

  • Lunch and Dinner Service

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
