Own full-cycle recruiting for sales, customer, marketing, and other GTM roles. Build sourcing strategies focused on passive candidates, partner with hiring managers, run structured interviews, track funnel metrics, represent BackOps to candidates, and close talent against competing offers. The role requires managing multiple searches while maintaining hiring quality and candidate experience, with a focus on supporting a rapidly growing early-stage startup.
About BackOps
Supply chain operations are some of the most complex, high-stakes workflows in any business — and for too long, the teams running them have had to hold it together manually. Missed shipments, cascading exceptions, hours of coordination that pulls people away from the work that actually moves the business forward. The infrastructure hasn't kept up with the complexity.
BackOps is changing that. We build agentic AI that automates the operational work that supply chain teams have always had to do by hand — not by wrapping AI around legacy tools, but by rethinking the infrastructure from the ground up.
We're ~50 people, headquartered in San Francisco, and backed by investors who support category-defining companies early and with conviction: our Series A was led by Theory Ventures, with participation from Gradient, Construct Capital, and 10VC. The problem is real, the timing is right, and we're building the team that will define how this space evolves.
If you want to do work that matters, with people who take ownership seriously, at a company where what you build becomes the foundation — keep reading.
The Role
We're hiring our first in-house GTM recruiter who finds real satisfaction in the hunt: sourcing relentlessly, running a tight process, and closing candidates who weren't actively looking. This is a high-volume, full-cycle role built for someone who loves the craft and wants to go deep on it.
GTM hiring is where we need you most. Our Sales, Customer, and broader go-to-market teams are growing quickly, and the caliber of talent we're looking for means inbound alone won't get it done.
You'll report to the Head of People & Talent and own full-cycle execution across your own reqs — with real input into how you source, sell, and close. You'll have the support and context to do it well, and the trust to run your searches your way.
What You'll Do
- Own full-cycle GTM recruiting — from kickoff through close — across sales, customer, marketing, and adjacent go-to-market roles
- Build and run sourcing strategies that consistently surface high-caliber, often passive candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to calibrate the bar and run structured, high-signal interview loops
- Track and improve your own funnel metrics — time-to-fill, offer-accept rate, source quality
- Represent BackOps authentically to candidates — tell the story, build trust, close with conviction
- Manage multiple GTM searches simultaneously without compromising quality or candidate experience
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with meaningful time at early-stage or high-growth startups
- Proven track record hiring high-performing GTM talent — particularly across sales and customer-facing functions
- A relentless sourcer who hunts passive candidates rather than waiting on inbound
- Strong closer with a track record of winning candidates against competing offers
- Sharp commercial instincts and a well-calibrated eye for exceptional GTM talent
- Clear, compelling communicator who can represent a company's mission and culture with authenticity
- Motivated by being the best in the market at full-cycle GTM recruiting
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco
Why BackOps
- Help build the GTM team at a company redefining supply chain infrastructure with AI
- Real input in how we build our commercial organization — with the strategic support to do it well
- Backed by Theory Ventures, Gradient, Construct Capital, and 10VC
- Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits
