About the company
Our client is an investor-backed AI platform for property insurers and managing general agents, helping them improve catastrophe underwriting. Founded by Stanford structural engineering PhDs, the company brings technical depth and practical insurance insight to a consequential problem. This seed-stage business offers its first commercial hire broad influence on the company's direction.
The role
We are hiring a Founding GTM leader to build the entire go-to-market engine from zero. You will shape the ideal customer profile, create a focused outbound motion, develop warm and conference channels, and help turn early customer engagement into a repeatable enterprise sales process.
What you'll do
• Define and research the ideal customer profile across property insurers and MGAs.
• Run thoughtful, low-volume outbound campaigns supported by strong account and contact research.
• Build relationships through conferences, warm channels, and high-trust paths into enterprise insurance organizations.
• Lead complex enterprise opportunities, including pilots, procurement, security reviews, and onboarding collateral.
• Build the initial GTM infrastructure using Attio, Claude Code, and other AI tools.
• Establish GTM metrics and operating rhythms from the beginning.
• Bring structured product feedback from prospects and customers back to the founding team.

Requirements

What we're looking for
• 2 to 5 years of experience in founding GTM, account executive, Chief of Staff, business operations, or former-founder work at a pre-seed or seed-stage company.
• Experience selling to or operating within enterprise B2B environments.
• Deep fluency with AI tools and their practical use in day-to-day work, beyond superficial familiarity.
• Clear, human-sounding communication across outbound, internal, and customer-facing work.
• Strong ownership and comfort building systems and processes from scratch.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when the role requires it.
Bonus points
• Experience at a top venture-backed startup.
• Experience building a GTM playbook from zero.
• A degree from a top university, though this is not required.

Benefits

Compensation and benefits
• On-target earnings of $140K to $160K, with a 50/50 base and variable compensation split.
• Significant founding equity.
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• 401(k) match.
• Daily lunch.
• Commute support.
• Relocation support.
Location and work model
• Onsite in San Francisco five days per week.
• Candidates must live in San Francisco or relocate within one month.
• Visa sponsorship and visa transfers are available.
