Who We Are

Cooper AI is building AI for commercial insurance, taking the manual, time-consuming work off professionals' plates so they can focus on what actually matters: serving clients and growing their business. Cooper works directly inside the tools teams already use, turning these workflows into fast, automated experiences that save hours every week and unlock meaningful efficiency gains.

Backed by Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor, Cooper AI is building from the ground up to modernize a $1T+ global insurance industry.

About the Role

As Cooper’s Founding Product Marketing Manager, you’ll help translate our product into clear, compelling stories that drive adoption and revenue. You’ll sit at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing; building the positioning, enablement, and customer-facing materials that help teams understand and sell Cooper. This role is scoped from Senior PMM to Lead PMM, depending on experience.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with product and sales to translate product capabilities into clear messaging, positioning, and packaging.

  • Build sales enablement materials, including product talk tracks, feature descriptions, and guidance for selling our products.

  • Own how Cooper’s product shows up externally across the website, product pages, case studies, and other customer-facing materials.

  • Develop customer stories and case studies that support both sales and marketing.

  • Create product-focused narratives for SDRs and AEs, helping them explain features and value clearly.

  • Serve as a bridge between product and go-to-market teams, ensuring product updates and customer needs are communicated effectively.

  • Establish and maintain a high bar for product storytelling as Cooper evolves.

What you bring

  • 3–4+ years of dedicated product marketing experience for a Senior-level role; OR

  • 5+ years with progressive ownership and leadership experience for a Lead-level role.

  • Experience owning product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong ability to understand complex products and translate them for customer-facing teams and audiences.

  • Experience working closely with product, sales, and marketing teams.

  • A self-directed approach: you can own a workstream independently and move from strategy to execution.

  • For Lead-level candidates: experience guiding others, setting direction, and taking broader responsibility across a function.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • Monthly wellness stipend

  • 401k with company match

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Company sponsored lunch 5x per week

  • Off sites, happy hours, and team building events
