What’s on offer?

The Power Platform Architect is the technical lead for Microsoft Power Platform at Fulton Hogan. You’ll be responsible for how Power Platform solutions are designed, secured, integrated and scaled, making sure they align with our enterprise architecture, cloud strategy and information security standards. You’ll set and maintain the standards and guardrails that keep our solutions consistent, secure and fit for enterprise use.

Day to day, you’ll work with our Digital and IT teams to design and review Power Platform solutions, guiding decisions on environments, security, DLP policies, connectors, integrations and application lifecycle management. You’ll provide practical, hands‑on architectural support to help teams resolve complex technical issues while staying within enterprise standards. You’ll also partner with governance, security and platform stakeholders to keep our standards realistic, consistent and supportive of delivery. As the platform grows, you’ll run regular health checks and help strengthen our architecture and governance controls over time. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural assurance for Microsoft Power Platform across Fulton Hogan.
  • Define and govern architectural standards and guardrails so solutions are secure, scalable, reusable and aligned with enterprise requirements.
  • Set and oversee environment strategy, security configuration, DLP policies, connector usage and ALM patterns.
  • Design scalable, reusable solution and integration patterns that align with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Provide architectural guidance across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse and supporting Azure services, and support the Platform Lead with technical decisions and risk assessments.
  • Run regular platform health checks, uplift architectural and governance controls, and ensure technical decisions balance delivery speed with long‑term platform sustainability.

How will you connect to the role?

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring strong, hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, along with proven experience in solution or platform architecture within an enterprise environment. You’ll have a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles (ideally on Microsoft Azure) and strong knowledge of security, identity, integration and data governance. Just as importantly, you’ll be able to explain complex technical concepts in clear, simple terms to non‑technical stakeholders.

It would be highly beneficial if you’ve previously defined and applied architectural standards and guardrails, implemented ALM and environment strategies for low‑code platforms, and integrated Power Platform solutions with enterprise or line‑of‑business systems. Familiarity with digital forms, workflow automation or similar platforms will also be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone who is the right fit for our team and culture You’ll bring strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, be a proactive problem solver who thinks ahead, and learn quickly as things change. You’ll be comfortable managing shifting priorities, remain calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering quality outcomes.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

We are committed to reconciliation and building and nurturing respectful relationships with First Nations peoples. Through our First Nations Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we aim to promote opportunities, cultural understanding and partnerships that celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of Indigenous communities.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.

For over 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in every kind of weather and environment, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
