The Role

As a Growth Engineer on the marketing team, you'll drive growth by building the mechanisms that scale it: our marketing website (peregrine.io), content automation, and the internal workflows behind our digital growth experiments. The website is your primary focus. It's both an external surface to clearly communicate our value props to a variety of audiences, and an internal tool for scale and automation. You'll own it end to end, the Sanity instance and the front-end alike, and build the systems a modern marketing team runs on: signal ingestion, personalization, content production, and workflow automation. Working alongside growth marketing, product marketing, content, and brand, you'll build interactive experiences that stand out and run experiments that move the metrics that matter.

We value ownership and collaboration. You'll own major features end to end and work closely with the team to ship them. Empathy and humility matter here. You'll partner directly with marketing and design as we solve real problems. Perseverance and creativity are how we execute.

What you'll do
  • Own the entire website: the Sanity instance, the front-end, and every page, component, and content workflow.
  • Build a content management system of reusable copy and visual elements that ship to web, ads, print, and beyond.
  • Build signal ingestion and personalization that tailor experiences to a broad set of audiences
  • Build translation management workflows that make localization fast and reliable.
  • Automate internal marketing workflows so the team moves faster with less manual work, such as building personalized web/landing page pipelines, asset creation automation, signal generation/segmentation, etc.
  • Run growth experiments across our web properties to drive conversion, visibility, and personalization.
  • Configure and optimize HubSpot, GTA, and related platforms for tracking, lead generation, and audience segmentation.
  • Deliver near-instant load times, strong technical SEO/AEO/GEO, and consistent performance across browsers and devices.
How we'll measure success
  • Site performance. Speed, reliability, and quality across every property.
  • Visibility from technical SEO. Measurable gains in organic discovery and answer-engine presence.
  • Personalized content at scale. Content systems that scale with the business, increase engagement and drive conversion.
About you
  • You treat marketing as engineering. You automate the manual and measure what you ship.
  • You design and build. You have taste, and you can ship what you envision.
  • You write clean, maintainable code and reach for tools that sharpen your output.
  • You think in systems: personalization, analytics, content delivery, all tuned for engagement and conversion.
  • You track industry trends and bring back what's relevant.
What we look for
  • Deep proficiency with Sanity, Vercel, React, and Next.js, Git, plus strong web fundamentals (TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and understanding of privacy and accessibility standards for web.
  • Experience building signal ingestion, personalization, content production, and internal workflow automation for a marketing team.
  • Experience running growth experiments to drive conversion, visibility, and personalization across audiences.
  • Strong design and development fundamentals. You move fluidly between the two.
  • Deep expertise in performance optimization and technical SEO/AEO, and familiarity with marketing analytics and conversion tracking tools (Amplitude, GA4, GTM, etc.).
  • A working understanding of localization and translation management workflows.
  • Experience working with marketing/growth teams as a primary stakeholder.
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience.

We've learned people hesitate to apply without an exact number of years. What matters most is the experiences you've had and the skills you've built. Around five years feels right. If you have fewer and meet the rest, apply.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
