The Work You’ll Do:

At Sovos, we’re transforming how companies around the world manage tax compliance – helping half of the Fortune 500 and thousands more stay ahead in a complex, ever-changing global regulatory landscape. As a GTM Business Director, you’ll serve as a strategic extension of the President of Revenue, operating at the intersection of executive decision-making, revenue operations, and enterprise AI transformation. This is a high-visibility role where your work directly shapes how Sovos’ Sales, Customer Success, and Business Operations teams operate and grow.

More specifically, you will:

Develop, launch, and manage the successful completion of cross-functional, strategic initiatives that enable revenue growth and improve company profitability and efficiency

Own the GTM AI strategy, driving enterprise-wide adoption and embedding AI into core workflows and operating processes to deliver measurable business impact

Draft and manage high-stakes communications on behalf of the President of Revenue, including CRO-level correspondence, field-facing policy announcements, customer meeting prep, and board-adjacent materials, ensuring voice consistency and strategic alignment across all outputs

Lead end-to-end preparation and execution for high-stakes leadership forums including Board of Directors presentations, Quarterly Business Reviews, GTM Connect sessions, and senior executive offsites, spanning agenda design, meeting orchestration, slide authoring, talking point preparation, and post-meeting follow-through to ensure commitments are tracked and actioned

Lead the development, interpretation, and operationalization of global revenue operating policies (e.g., territory rules, sales credit decisions, GROE frameworks), including committee facilitation and cross-functional stakeholder alignment

Build and maintain the organizational infrastructure for AI adoption, including use case libraries, training programs, SharePoint hubs, and workshop facilitation, translating AI strategy into measurable field-level workflows

Own end-to-end planning and execution of key components within flagship revenue events including Sales Kick-Off and President’s Club, spanning awards program design, mainstage content, recognition programs, and logistics coordination

Partner with Sales Operations to develop field-facing enablement materials, process documentation, and reporting frameworks tied to Salesforce; translate complex operational changes into clear guidance for global sales audiences

Supervise assigned project personnel via matrix management, and allocate and track work and milestones

Track the efficacy of various initiatives and help implement the appropriate reporting and metrics to ensure desired results are being achieved

Prioritize shifting demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and creatively meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders

Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, including meeting prep and execution

Demonstrate initiative, drive, and determination to achieve results, success, and growth

Support ad hoc project management needs as they arise

What We Need From You

Proven experience in a chief of staff, revenue operations, GTM strategy, or similar senior operational role within a B2B SaaS or technology environment

Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes

Experience building or scaling AI-driven workflows, tools, or programs at an enterprise level

Exceptional written communication skills with experience drafting executive-level content, including board materials, internal communications, and strategic presentations

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations

Experience facilitating governance processes, operating committees, or policy development at scale

Proficiency with Salesforce and comfort working across collaborative tools such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, and project management platforms

Excellent organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without direct authority across all levels of an organization

Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
