About the company

Braintrust is the agent observability platform. By actively applying intelligence to agent traces and automatically surfacing the most critical patterns, Braintrust gives teams the visibility to understand how agents behave in production and the tools to improve them.
Teams at Notion, Stripe, Box, OpenAI, and Cloudflare use Braintrust to trace their agents, find the issues in their observability data, and run evals that tell them how to improve.

About the role

We’re looking for a GTM engineer who loves building the systems that power the next stage of growth for Braintrust. GTM Engineering is responsible for building the agents, data infrastructure, and internal tools our Sales, Marketing, and RevOps teams use every day to operate more efficiently. The best projects are linked directly to pipeline or revenue and are delivered through interfaces that limit friction for users. This team is uniquely positioned at Braintrust to have a lot of leverage, since it uses our product and is a central part of agentic building.

In this role, you'll focus on:

  • Agents and internal tools: Build and ship agents and applications that GTM teams cannot live without.

  • Data infrastructure: Create models and pipelines connecting our warehouse, enrichment providers, CRM, and product usage data so tools run on data people trust.

  • Stakeholder management: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to understand their workflows and turn messy processes into durable systems.

  • Primitives: Architect compounding systems built on shared primitives that can be reused across projects.

  • Measurement: Measure the impact of what you ship quantitatively and qualitatively and use the feedback and metrics to shape the future roadmap.

  • Reliability: Keep production tools stable and reliable.

  • Building in public: Be on the cutting edge of what's possible with agentic building and share your learnings on X.

Ideal candidate credentials
  • 3+ years in software engineering, growth/GTM engineering, or data engineering.

  • Understands how B2B GTM works, including pipeline stages, forecasting, territories, and ABM.

  • Comfortable writing SQL, modeling data with dbt, and building pipelines without requiring assistance from others.

  • Has shipped agents that have had real users and knows how to iterate on them.

  • Can hold their own when talking about agentic system design.

  • Is excited to tie their work back to real business metrics and wants to move pipeline and revenue through engineering.

  • Builds systems that compound over time rather than in isolation, and thinks about how what they build today will extend to help the business grow in the future.

  • Has owned problems end-to-end in environments where things are sometimes loosely defined, and is willing to pick up whatever knowledge they’re missing to get the job done.

Benefits include
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Daily lunch, snacks, and beverages

  • Flexible time off

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Wifi & cellphone stipend
