However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. About the role

Applied is looking for a Hardware Product Manager who is passionate about bringing physical AI products to life. You'll own hardware products end to end — from component and architecture decisions through production launch — across the automotive, trucking, defense, construction, mining, and agriculture industries. This is an important role where you will drive both strategy and execution, working closely with engineering, supply chain, and OEM customers to ship hardware that performs reliably in the field.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for hardware products, from sensors and compute platforms to vehicle integration hardware

  • Drive hardware products from concept through production (SOP), balancing scalable platform design with OEM-specific customization requirements

  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to prioritize impactful deliverables across the product development lifecycle

  • Own key technology and supplier partnerships — including component vendors, Tier-1 suppliers, and contract manufacturers — and drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions

  • Partner with business development and marketing on customer pitches, go-to-market positioning, and pricing for hardware products

  • Work directly with OEM customers to gather feedback and ensure the product roadmap stays aligned with real-world production and deployment needs

  • Partner with program management and operations to track hardware milestones, costs, and quality through the full product lifecycle

We're looking for someone who has:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on hardware products

  • Experience at an automotive, trucking, defense, or other OEM, or at a supplier building hardware products for them

  • A track record of shipping hardware products to production, including navigating prototyping, validation, and manufacturing ramp

  • Strong technical background with understanding of and/or hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required

  • Experience managing external partners, suppliers, or contract manufacturers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:
  • Experience with sensing platforms (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras), embedded compute, or vehicle integration hardware

  • Experience working with Tier-1 automotive or defense suppliers

  • Familiarity with hardware product development processes (PDP) and PLM/BOM tooling

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
