About Base

Base is a platform for in-real-life social connection and community. Our Members are accomplished people who have built careers, families, and reputations. They come to Base for what their calendars are missing: regular, in-person time with peers they actually want to know.

Perks, access, the table nobody else gets. The Head of Partnerships builds that portfolio and keeps it growing.

The Role

You build and own Base's ecosystem of venue, brand, and experience partners. You find the rooms worth being in, the brands worth aligning with, and the perks worth offering. You pitch them, close them, and turn them into Member-only access, programming, and revenue. You own the strategy, the relationships, and the targets. You build the function from zero, and you make every partnership feel intentional, premium, and right for the room.

What You Will Do
  • Own the partnerships strategy. Member engagement, growth, and revenue, designed to scale across cities.

  • Identify, pitch, and close premium partners. Restaurants, bars and lounges, hotels, galleries, cultural institutions, performance venues, retail, coworking spaces, civic spaces, and lifestyle brands.

  • Launch Member-only access. Exclusive events, private access, special programming, and standing perks through venue and brand partnerships.

  • Negotiate terms. Sponsorships, fees, revenue share, barter arrangements.

  • Own sponsorship revenue targets. Design and sell packages including co-branded events, activations, and partner integrations. Manage every partner from pitch through execution, measurement, and renewal.

  • Work cross-team. Integrate partnerships into Member experiences, communications, and programming. Make sure execution is smooth where Members can see it.

  • Hold the standard. A partnership that feels off-brand or transactional does not ship.

  • Track what works. Use partnership performance and Member engagement data to refine the strategy.

Who You Are
  • A closer. You get to yes with people who hear pitches every week.

  • A relationship builder. Venue operators, brand partners, and cultural leaders trust you and take your calls.

  • A strong negotiator. Comfortable structuring deals that work for both sides and scale.

  • Revenue-minded. You like owning a number and tracking your impact against it.

  • Taste-driven. You know the difference between a partnership that elevates a room and one that cheapens it.

  • Entrepreneurial. Self-directed, fast-moving, comfortable building from zero.

Background

5+ years in partnerships, business development, sponsorships, events, or account management. You have closed and managed complex partnerships across hospitality, culture, lifestyle, or consumer brands, and you have designed or executed premium events, experiences, or community activations. The common thread: you brought the right partners to the table and the relationship lasted.

Details
  • Type: Full-time.

  • Pay: Competitive salary, equity reflecting early-stage impact, and performance incentives.

  • Benefits: Health and dental insurance, unlimited PTO, professional development budget.

  • Location: Flexible work arrangements.

  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in the US.
