Head of Partnerships

Company: Certive Inc. Location: Remote (US) Type: Full-time Compensation: $110,000 base salary plus variable performance bonus

About the role

Certive is building the modern compliance platform for insurance and real estate brokerages: software that tracks every license, never misses a renewal, and files renewals and new applications automatically. We are early, well-funded, and moving quickly.

As Head of Partnerships, you will be the first commercial hire and will own how Certive goes to market. You will work directly with the founder to define our positioning, build the sales pipeline from scratch, and establish the channel relationships that drive growth. This is a founding go-to-market role: you will set the motion, not inherit one. Early on you will personally prospect, sell, and close; over time you will build the team and the playbook beneath you.

The ideal candidate has worked inside an insurance or real estate brokerage and has felt the licensing and compliance problem firsthand. You understand the buyer because you have been the buyer.

What you will do
  • Study the competitive landscape and position Certive attractively against alternatives to brokerages, aggregators, and clusters.

  • Identify and prospect new sales targets across the small-to-mid brokerage market.

  • Build pipeline through high-volume, well-researched cold outreach.

  • Attend industry conferences to source opportunities, build relationships, and represent Certive in the market.

  • Develop preferred-vendor and sponsorship relationships with aggregators, clusters, and associations as a primary distribution channel.

  • Gather and synthesize market feedback, and translate it into a clear, prioritized view of the features needed to win more business.

  • Partner closely with the founder and engineering on roadmap, messaging, and pricing.

What we are looking for
  • Direct experience working at or selling into an insurance or real estate brokerage.

  • A strong outbound operator who is comfortable building pipeline from a blank page.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to position a technical product simply and persuasively.

  • Self-directed and resourceful, with the judgment to operate without established process.

  • Comfortable with the ambiguity, pace, and ownership of an early-stage company.

  • Willingness to travel for conferences and key meetings.

Nice to have
  • An existing network among brokerages, aggregators, clusters, or industry associations.

  • Familiarity with producer and broker licensing, NIPR, CE requirements, or compliance workflows.

  • Prior experience as an early commercial hire at a startup.

Compensation and logistics
  • Base salary of $110,000.

  • Variable performance bonus tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

  • Fully remote within the US, with travel for conferences and select in-person meetings.

  • This posting does not include a benefits package.
