VESSL is building the specialized AI cloud for the teams pushing AI forward: frontier labs, physical AI companies, and research institutions. Our US pipeline is real and growing, our founding AE is closing, and demand is outrunning our selling capacity. What we don't have is a sales leader whose job is to turn this into a repeatable, forecastable revenue engine.
That's you. This is a player-coach role in the truest sense. You will personally own and close our most strategic accounts while building the US sales team around you: coaching our founding AE, hiring the next sellers, and designing the motion they run. You'll be equally comfortable negotiating a multi-year GPU capacity commitment and walking an AE through their first pipeline review.
You will own the sales motion end to end: building and managing the team, designing the commercial frameworks that make deals possible, and being the bridge between customer demand and our capacity and supply planning. In a GPU cloud business, selling and capacity allocation are the same conversation, and this role sits at the center of it.
What You'll OwnOwn the US NumberCarry and close a personal portfolio of our most strategic accounts, running multi-stakeholder cycles from discovery through signature where senior presence and long-term relationships decide outcomes
Own the US revenue forecast end to end: a weekly and monthly pipeline cadence with deal health and slippage signals caught while they are still fixable, and a number VESSL leadership can plan against
Anchor the MBR/QBR rhythm with finance and accounting
Hire, coach, and retain enterprise account executives and the sales support functions around them, and define how they cover the market: one accountable owner per segment across physical AI, frontier and AI native labs, academia, and enterprise
Set the team's operating standards: performance expectations, coaching rhythm, and development paths that compound individual sellers into a durable sales org
Own the commercial architecture our deals run on: term structures spanning short-term on-demand credits through multi-year reserved capacity commitments, standardized enough to scale, flexible enough to win
Run a deal desk motion with finance and legal that moves complex enterprise quotes in days while holding margin, and shape sales incentive design as the team grows
Translate customer demand signals into GPU capacity allocation and prioritization decisions with our infrastructure and capacity planning teams, weighing near-term revenue against strategic account development so capital deploys where it earns the most
Bring demand-side evidence into capacity investment and supply planning decisions with the Head of US GTM and product
8 to 12 years of B2B enterprise sales in cloud infrastructure, GPU compute, or AI/ML infrastructure; you understand what you're selling and can credibly engage technical buyers
Experience closing large, complex deals ($5M+ TCV) with long cycles, multiple stakeholders, and custom commercial terms
Player-coach who has scaled a sales team through a high growth stage: you've hired and led sellers, designed the team's structure, and still personally carried strategic accounts the whole way
Forecasting is a craft to you: disciplined reviews, sharp reading of deal health signals, and a number you hold yourself and the team accountable to
Experience working cross-functionally with product, finance, and operations in an environment where sales and capacity planning are tightly coupled
AI native across the stack: hands-on with CRM and sales engagement tooling (Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo), AI prospecting tools, and tools like Claude Code to multiply your own output, and you'll build a team that works the same way
