From hiring to offboarding (and everything in between), we make sure every Lambda has the support, tools, and structure to thrive. Our scope includes recruiting, rewards, L&D, employee relations, communications, and culture—all the things that shape a great place to work.

About the Role

As an HR Generalist at Lambda, you will manage a diverse set of projects and programs that will establish, develop, and foster a great people experience at Lambda from ‘hire to retire’. This role will champion our culture and employee experience, by helping cultivate a culture that will strengthen our team member experiences throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion Lambda’s culture, mission, purpose, and values, helping ensure they are reflected throughout the employee experience

  • Partner with the HR Generalist team to deliver a seamless new hire onboarding experience, including pre-boarding communications, Day 1 coordination, cultural integration, and collaboration with hiring managers to develop comprehensive onboarding plans for each new hire

  • Own and manage the end-to-end offboarding process, including coordination with HRBPs and IT, conducting exit interviews, facilitating timely access deprovisioning, completing required system and data updates, and ensuring a professional and positive departure experience

  • Provide timely and accurate HR support through the JIRA ticketing system, responding to employee and manager questions and coordinating with internal stakeholders as needed

  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing, supporting payroll activities, reviews, and issue resolution as needed

  • Support HR compliance activities, including annual regulatory filings, required reporting, employee notices, and related communications

  • Maintain required workplace postings, ensuring all applicable federal, state, and local labor law notices are current and properly displayed at company locations

  • Partner with the HR Generalist team to administer employee leaves, workplace accommodations, and employee grievances, ensuring timely coordination, documentation, and follow-through

  • Support HRIS data integrity and employee lifecycle changes, partnering with the HR Generalist and Business Technology teams to accurately process organizational, employment, and employee data changes in Rippling and, following implementation, Workday

You

  • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably within a fast-paced technology or high-growth environment

  • Strong working knowledge of core HR operations and the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves of absence, accommodations, payroll support, and HR compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making in day-to-day work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners at all levels

  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and processes, proactively identify next steps, and drive work through completion with limited oversight

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, particularly when managing employee data, compliance requirements, and sensitive HR processes

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion

  • Experience working with HRIS and other HR technology platforms; experience with Rippling and/or Workday is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Human Resources project management experience

  • Experience developing, documenting, and improving HR processes, policies, SOPs, and internal controls

  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and processes
