The Lead Product Manager is the product champion responsible for defining, evaluating, and delivering platform capabilities and features that drive measurable business, customer, and risk outcomes. This role owns product vision and strategy for the Zelle Risk Platform, including real-time decisioning capabilities, risk data products, risk engine capabilities, and the services ecosystem that supports fraud and scam risk assessment across the Zelle network.

The Lead Product Manager partners closely with product leaders, engineering, fraud risk management, and growth teams to create a cohesive, scalable, and secure risk platform. This role aligns and motivates cross-functional teams to understand platform user needs, translate technical and risk requirements into roadmaps, and deliver reusable capabilities that support current and emerging Zelle use cases.

Essential Functions

  • Defines and articulates a clear product vision and roadmap for the Zelle Risk Platform, aligned to enterprise objectives, risk strategy, and customer needs.
  • Collaborates with Product Management peers across business lines to create a unified vision for customer-facing solutions, ensuring consistency across product lines.
  • Leads multiple features or products, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic value.
  • Serves as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, actively listening across multiple channels and touchpoints.
  • Transforms customer and market insights into actionable product enhancements that improve user experience and drive adoption.
  • Uses qualitative and quantitative data to validate problem statements, prioritize opportunities, and measure outcomes.
  • Works closely with product, fraud risk management, analytics, engineering, vendor, and technology partners to solve complex real-time risk platform challenges.
  • Leverages industry trends, competitive insights, and technical knowledge to deliver differentiated, value-added solutions.
  • Drives product-line innovations that improve customer outcomes and business performance.
  • Clearly defines product requirements, grooms user stories, and partners closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Operates effectively in a highly collaborative environment, influencing without authority to align teams toward shared goals.
  • Ensures product delivery meets scope, quality, timeline, and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates strong technical understanding and the ability to work directly with technologists to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
  • Oversees the integration of appropriate risk, security, and compliance controls into product design and delivery.
  • Supports the company’s commitment to protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor’s degree
  • Typically 8 years of experience in Product Management or related roles, with ownership of platform capabilities, service/API-driven products, decisioning software, or internal-facing technical products.
  • Proven experience leading complex product initiatives across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with demonstrated ability to translate insights into shipped product value.
  • Demonstrated experience in design thinking and agile development process and methodology
  • Solid technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineering teams.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments or with strong risk and compliance considerations preferred.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $131,000 - $160,000.
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $157,000 - $192,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
