About Persona

Persona is the configurable identity platform built for businesses in a digital-first world. Verifying individuals and organizations is harder — but more important — than ever, with AI enabling fraudsters to launch sophisticated accounts at scale and regulations evolving rapidly.

We’ve built Persona to support practically every use case and industry — that’s why we’re able to serve a wide range of leading companies. For example, Reddit relies on Persona for age assurance and verification to comply with online safety regulations, protecting younger users while maintaining a seamless experience. Meanwhile, OpenAI relies on Persona to keep bad actors out, protecting one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms from large-scale abuse in a time when AI is reshaping the way we work and live.

We’re growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join us!

About the role

As a Lead Web Designer at Persona, you'll join our growing Brand Studio to help define and build our website and other consumer-facing digital experiences. With a primary focus on our marketing website, you'll lead design exploration and set the bar for thoughtful, exceptionally crafted work.

This is a lead role, so you should feel comfortable taking the initiative to jump right in, facilitate cross-functional conversations and alignment and develop/presenting ideas. You'll need a strong understanding of how to build and scale design systems, plus the drive to keep pushing the work forward in an always-evolving space. This role requires close collaboration across teams and the ability to manage projects of varying scope and complexity cross-functionally.

With a rebrand just underway, this is a rare opportunity to help shape our visual system at a foundational moment and make a real impact.

What you'll do at Persona
  • Design and deliver category-defining digital experiences across our marketing website and other interactive touchpoints (event activations, micro-sites, digital collateral)

  • Lead the redesign of our upcoming marketing website, from strategic alignment and scoping through design, implementation, and stewardship

  • Partner with the web team on day-to-day site needs, enabling the marketing team to keep iterating and building for today's needs

  • Champion a new era of design and build processes, partnering closely with engineering and using the latest prototyping and AI tools to bring ideas to life beyond the brief

  • Help build a culture of feedback and collaboration among designers, cross-functional partners, and executive stakeholders

  • Develop a deep understanding of Persona's brand and play a defining role in where it goes next

What you'll bring to Persona
  • A standout interactive portfolio reflecting a passion for narrative, craft, and technology, grounded in a clear understanding of the audience

  • 10+ years of experience in agency or in-house environments, with a clear focus on website design and digital experiences

  • Strong UX instincts and the ability to translate principles into intuitive, empathetic user experiences

  • A drive to build cohesive visual systems, backed by an understanding of what it takes to build, deploy, and maintain a website and other digital-first experiences

  • A "design and build" instinct, paired with real excitement and curiosity about what new tools unlock; deeper exploration, higher fidelity, and sometimes almost implementation-ready experiences

  • The ability to self-direct across multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment, with the communication skills to keep cross-functional and executive stakeholders aligned

  • Fluency in industry-standard tools and the ability to produce production-ready files. We work in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, and embrace AI tools like Cursor and Claude to bring work to life with craft and speed. Experience with code-based animation and emerging technologies is a strong plus

Benefits and Perks

For full-time US-based employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others.

For full-time UK employees, Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, a 6% employer pension contribution, unlimited PTO, a monthly wellness stipend, professional development stipend, co-working stipend, and more.

As part of our interview process, all candidates will be asked to verify their identity with Persona. This step is used solely to confirm that candidates are who they say they are, and will have no impact on hiring decisions.
