Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

We’re looking for an experienced Legal Operations Lead to help build and scale our legal team’s processes, systems, and tools. Reporting to the Head of Legal Operations & Commercial, this person will oversee end-to-end program management of our contracting operations while partnering with the other Legal Operations Lead to drive initiatives for other legal functions as well (International, Corporate, etc.). In this role, you will own the technology stack for Commercial Legal and other assigned functions (with a focus on Ironclad, and contract-related AI-driven tools) and define its governance and roadmap. You will lead high-impact projects that improve how the legal team works, develop data-driven insights into our team’s performance, and enable both legal colleagues and cross-functional partners to collaborate more effectively with Legal. As a proactive problem-solver, you’ll spot process gaps before others see them and craft scalable solutions, partnering with teams across Figma to drive cross-functional alignment and build a more efficient contracting motion. As Figma continues to grow, our legal systems and operational processes will become increasingly critical to our success – and you will be at the center of crafting that future.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:
  • Program Management & Process Improvement: Oversee the end-to-end contracting operations for Figma’s Commercial & International Legal teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient contract lifecycle from request to signature. Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements so that our contracting workflow scales with the business. In addition to commercial contracts, support other legal functional areas by driving similar operational excellence initiatives across those teams.
  • Legal Technology Ownership: Own and administer relevant technology platforms, including our contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform (Ironclad) and AI-driven contract negotiation tools (like Ivo and Luminance), and overseeing contractors as needed.
  • Data & Metrics: Build dashboards and tracking systems that provide insight into the Commercial & International Legal teams’ performance and other legal workflows, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Serve as the project manager for high-impact initiatives across the legal team – from implementing new software to rolling out process changes – and ensure projects are well-scoped, tracked, and delivered on schedule. Coordinate cross-functional efforts by partnering with stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Business Systems, and other teams to drive alignment and successfully execute key projects.
  • Training & Enablement: Lead training and enablement efforts for relevant legal team members and cross-functional partners. Create clear documentation, playbooks, and communication channels to help teams navigate the contracting process and other legal workflows with confidence.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations (including contracting operations in particular) in a high-growth environment, with strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Hands-on expertise administering a CLM platform (including workflow configuration, template management, and integrations) and experience implementing AI or automation tools in legal processes.
  • Experience implementing AI and other automation tools to optimize contract negotiation and other legal workflows.
  • Clear, empathetic communicator with the ability to simplify complexity, influence stakeholders, guide teams through change, and build strong, credible partnerships across the organization.
  • Ability to translate operational problems into structured, scalable solutions through technology, process design, and systems thinking and a data-informed approach to diagnosing issues, setting priorities, and measuring impact.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Experience in a fast-scaling SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial, privacy, product counseling, corporate governance, or other specialized legal workflows.
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
