Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Handle a docket of complex civil disputes from the first filing through motion practice and discovery. You will join a close-knit group of attorneys and be trusted to work independently and respond promptly to clients.
What you'll do
- Manage complex, multi-party disputes across California.
- Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs.
- Draft written discovery requests and responses and guide the discovery process.
- Research legal issues and support motion practice.
- Take and defend depositions as matters require.
- Work alongside fellow attorneys on a busy caseload.
- Produce polished written work on time and in line with what clients expect.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of civil litigation practice at a law firm, able to contribute from day one.
- Current admission to the State Bar of California.
- A law degree and a strong record of academic achievement.
- Solid background in motions and written discovery.
- Experience with complex matters involving several parties.
- Clear, persuasive writing and sharp analytical skills.
- A service-minded approach and quick responsiveness to clients.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, quick-moving team.
- Readiness to share academic transcripts and a sample of your writing.
Bonus points
- Background in construction law or construction defect disputes.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 185,000 to 240,000 per year
Location and work model
- Sacramento, California, United States
- Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week (fully remote possible for the right candidate)
