About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

The Role

Mariana is hiring a Logistics Analyst to own the operational logistics intelligence that keeps our procurement, engineering, and site teams making well-informed decisions about how we move materials and equipment.

This is not a coordination or execution role — it sits upstream of that. You will work with engineering and purchasing teams to understand what needs to move, when, and under what constraints, and translate that into logistics requirements: modes, routes, costs, lead times, and carrier options. You will also monitor the external logistics environment — freight markets, carrier capacity, seasonal patterns, regulatory changes — so that Mariana is never caught off guard by conditions we could have anticipated. When something like an international holiday or a port congestion event creates a rush on capacity, you will have flagged it in advance.

What You'll Do

  • Work with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to understand material and equipment movement requirements; translate those needs into logistics scope including mode, route, lead time, and cost estimates

  • Analyze freight markets and carrier options to identify the most cost-effective and reliable logistics solutions for each movement type

  • Monitor external logistics conditions — seasonal patterns, carrier capacity cycles, port congestion, regulatory changes, industry events — and proactively brief the team on conditions that could affect our shipments or costs

  • Build and maintain logistics cost models that help procurement and commercial teams understand the true delivered cost of inputs and equipment

  • Support procurement negotiations by providing freight benchmarks, lead time data, and carrier performance information

  • Educate internal stakeholders on logistics constraints and market conditions; help engineering and purchasing teams ask the right questions when scoping new projects or supply contracts

  • Contribute to logistics planning ahead of site startups; model freight requirements and identify carrier and route options

  • Track and analyze freight spend and performance data; identify trends, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, economics, or a related field

  • 3-6 years of experience in logistics analysis, freight management, supply chain planning, or a related function

  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable building cost models, analyzing freight data, and synthesizing market intelligence into clear recommendations

  • Working knowledge of freight modes including ocean, air, rail, and linehaul; understanding of how each mode prices and performs under different conditions

  • Experience monitoring freight markets and interpreting external logistics conditions is a plus

  • Clear communicator; able to explain logistics concepts and constraints to non-logistics audiences including engineers and procurement managers

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment

Our culture is built on four principles:

Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.

Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.

Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.

Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.

Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
