What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Performs all work in accordance with standard operating procedures and drawing specifications with little assistance
  • Seeks opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality through checks and tests of the product.
  • Applies accurately calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.
  • Willingness to learn machine set-ups
  • Can identify minor Machine issues
  • Performs operational checks to ensure departmental tools, fixtures & equipment are in good working condition.
  • In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts / moves up to and including 50lbs. Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required motions of the job.

You have:

  • Ability to read & write in English (High School or equivalent) needed to follow written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
  • At least 2 years of validated experience working with Vertical / Horizontal CNC Milling Machines.
  • Familiar with and basic knowledge of Mastercam / Solid works
  • Moderate understanding of machine controls using Haas / Fanuc cnc equipment
  • Ability to learn and understand process requirements and possess skills to troubleshoot, react, and correct failures in the process due to unplanned situations.
  • Shown knowledge in G & M cnc codes
  • Skills in communication, both verbal and written to optimally connect with different teams, provide training, and diagnosis/resolve production issues

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$24.50 - $33.00 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
