This position will lead Floor Covering Weekly’s digital presence across all platforms including FCWLive Studio video content planning, producing, and publication.

Responsibilities will include leading and mentoring a small team, improving metrics across all platforms, and creating monetized programs and sales opportunities. This role will work with the Production & Brand Artist for marketing design and creating aligned branding across all products.

  • This position requires both independent work, team management, and collaboration with the larger FCW team.
  • Some content creation for both online and in print required. Must have strong writing skills.
  • Some travel and event attendance required.
Responsibilities

The Manager will be expected to:

  • Develop current platforms and create new online opportunities for FCW to bring to market 
  • Develop, manage, and execute customized digital campaigns for clients in collaboration with social, video,and editorial
  • Provide analysis and guidance through SEO expertise, Google analytics and other metrics for all digital platforms and products as detailed above while continually staying up to date on the latest developments in analytics. Prepare weekly and monthly analytics reports including performance analysis and perspective
  • Attend editorial meetings to provide updates on digital efforts, share ideas on where FCW  can be more creative and where improvements can be made 
  • Create online and print stories related to technology

In addition to the above, the Manager will be responsible for:

FCW1.com:  

  • Maintain FCW’s website including but not limited to posting all features and news stories (as well as other departments); building, monitoring, and updating pages as needed; managing homepage, menus, ad displays; and, troubleshooting with proactive attention to website experience. 
  • Write SEO-friendly copy for web pages, YouTube posts and other digital platforms as needed — including descriptions, headlines, captions, etc. 
  • Post videos to website, emails and on Youtube. 

FCW Digital Assets:

  • Schedule and prepare FCWDaily and FCWWeekly newsletters based on website and social postings.

FCW Social Platforms:

  • Post on, manage and monitor all social platforms including but not limited to Linkedin, Instagram and Facebook. Use metrics to shape content and social media posts and create monetized programs for advertising clients.

FCWLive Studio:

  • Video development, production, editing and posting
  • Scheduling of production and deployment
  • Execute both onsite and offsite production
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates are expected to meet the following requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles keywords, alt text, etc. 
  • Proficient in website CMS: building and maintaining web pages, scheduling content, and video deployment
  • Basic understanding of HTML and website coding is desired
  • Proficient in large volume email platforms for building and sending newsletters 
  • Experience in developing best practices and leading teams in implementing them
  • Additional Software skills: Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, MacOS
  • Proficient in video production - filming and editing required

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary for this role is between $60,000 - $65,000.  A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on several permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, training, certifications, and education.
