Role Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead one of MuleSoft's Business Development teams an assigned industry vertical. You will lead a team of Business Development Representatives (outbound prospecting) that are responsible for developing and qualifying revenue opportunities within their assigned territory! You will set team goals, motivate and develop team members, and work closely with sales and marketing leaders. This person needs to communicate effectively across multiple departments, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoy the challenges of providing excellent customer service in a dynamic environment. You'll be a valuable contributor to the corporate sales strategy while providing definition and implementation of the plan for Sales to achieve corporate objectives!
Your Impact:

  • Recruit, lead and develop a team of BDRs, applying best practices to produce maximum results
  • Assist the Sales Development leadership team in determining the process, playbooks, career paths and appropriate measurements for BDRs
  • Develop a highly scalable yet personal outbound outreach strategy
  • Work with other Sales Managers and Account Executives toward common goals of pipeline generation
  • Work closely with Marketing on defining Campaign follow-up and reporting
  • Utilize quantitative methods to measure, manage, and optimize efforts and allocation of resources
  • Partner with Operations to identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
  • Maintain focus and commitment on assigned targets
  • Develop Reps into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions
  • Help build a fun, high energy environment where people love coming to work

Your Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales management, sales development management, or a full sales cycle closing role, preferably in SaaS or enterprise applications
  • Consistent proven track record of overachievement of quota expectations
  • Validated experience optimally leading people to achieve performance goals
  • Relevant experience in a hands-on lead generation role, driving key metrics and daily activity, preferably in a SaaS organization
  • Successful track record in a high volume transaction sales environment
  • Ability to forecast your business – lead conversion data through to pipeline build and win rates
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast paced environment and can adapt easily to a rapid change
  • Desire to lead, coach and develop others around you. You have a passion for developing talent and coaching a team to success
  • Bachelor's degree required

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $114,855 - $153,660 annually There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $126,230 - $168,870 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
