  • Ensuring compliance excellence — design and oversee internal controls framework for accounting policies with a focus on SOX effectiveness and audit readiness
  • Crafting financial narratives — author original footnote disclosures, MD&A, and public communications that accurately reflect our financial position and delight investors and auditors
  • Becoming the technical authority — respond to complex accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, translating intricate technical matters into clear concepts for all organizational levels
  • Accelerating close cycles — lead monthly close processes including stock-based compensation and equity-related journal entries, publishing investor reporting packages with precision
  • Solving novel problems — work closely with Product, Legal, Finance & Strategy teams to provide technical accounting guidance on new initiatives and market opportunities, collaborating with external auditors to resolve complex matters efficiently

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • US CPA (highly preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience — a strong blend of technical accounting depth and operational know-how
  • Big 4 audit/advisory experience (preferred) — or equivalent exposure to complex accounting matters
  • Stock-based compensation
  • Deep expertise in at least two of these areas:

   Revenue recognition (ASC 606)

   Stock-based compensation (ASC 718)

Business combinations and goodwill accounting (ASC 805)

  • Capital markets experience (IPOs, equity offerings, or SEC reporting) — preferred
  • Technology/SaaS industry background — preferred but not required; willingness to quickly master software/tech accounting nuances is essential
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems

You excel in these key competencies:

  •  Strategic collaboration — you thrive partnering with cross-functional teams, translating between technical accounting and business strategy
  • Communication mastery — exceptional written and verbal skills; you can explain complex accounting concepts clearly to executives, board members, and junior team members alike
  • Intellectual rigor — you dig deep into ambiguous situations, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and arrive at well-reasoned conclusions
  • Operational excellence — meticulous attention to detail, flawless organization, and an ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ownership mentality — you see technical accounting as a strategic business function; you proactively identify improvements and drive them to completion
  • Adaptability — you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you learn new concepts quickly and help the team scale
