About the Job

The Market Impact & Portfolio Performance Manager is part of the Insights & solutions team. This role acts as the primary integrator for market, growth, localization, portfolio, and business performance work across the I&S pillars of Insights, Business Operations, and Product & Pricing. The role combines regional market intelligence with enterprise business, customer, product, pricing, sales, and operational perspectives to support coherent, evidence-based decisions and business cases. It oversees key performance indicators, monitors progress against strategic and commercial objectives, identifies emerging gaps and opportunities, and ensures insights are translated into timely action. The role also establishes effective intelligence flows between regional teams and central functions, providing performance visibility, strategic alignment, and constructive challenge to support CP&D priorities and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the collection and analysis of market, customer, competitor, policy, and economic intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and cross-market patterns.
    Support growth, access, retention, localization, and school success strategies through analysis and planning frameworks.
  • Establish and oversee KPI frameworks, dashboards, forecasting processes, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Monitor progress against growth, retention, vitality, access, and pipeline objectives.
  • Evaluate the performance and sustainability of products, services, programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop business cases and investment analyses to support prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Integrate market intelligence, performance data, portfolio insights, and operational information into a coherent enterprise view.
  • Maintain visibility of progress against strategic priorities and emerging delivery risks.
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • MBA or BA with business concentration and practical experience.
  • Experience in commercial strategy, growth strategy, business consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience assessing market opportunities, competitors, customers, and strategic risks.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, including business case development, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across multiple regions or stakeholder groups.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Market intelligence, competitor analysis, opportunity assessment, growth projections, and strategic analysis.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative evidence into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong executive briefing, presentation, and business case development skills.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence, CRM, and research tools.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strategic thinking, judgement, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to align diverse perspectives, build consensus, and coach others.
