The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for consulting and managing marketing automation strategy and platform management. This includes collaborating with technology partners to architect scalable, data-driven programs that support the full customer lifecycle.
As the Marketing Automation Manager, you will help define how automation enables personalized, measurable marketing efforts - driving lead nurturing, conversion and customer retention through optimized workflows, platform integrations and cross-functional collaboration.
You will also be responsible for aligning with internal product marketers and activation to prioritize automation projects based on business goals, translating these goals into technical deliverables, and collaborating with technology partners to execute.

Key Responsibilities
- Consults on and manages the marketing automation strategy across MetLife marketing automation platforms (MAPs), defining how automation delivers scalable, measurable marketing programs that drive growth
- Responsible for the alignment on the vision, design, implementation and ongoing optimization of automated marketing programs' contribution to business growth
- Streamlines tools, people and processes to drive measurable results across the customer lifecycle
- Collaborates with marketing stakeholders to ensure work outlined in the MAP roadmap aligns with campaigns supporting key business priorities
- Oversees the marketing automation roadmap, prioritized with relevant stakeholders and partners across MetLife (Activation, GTO, CX, PODs and non-PODs)
- Effectively translates marketing strategies into technical deliverables through close collaboration with technology partners
- Oversees execution of marketing automation team and project manages team to ensure deadlines are met
- Oversees tool health, usage roadmaps and identifies opportunities to expand current tools (Marketo, Adobe Campaign Manager, Hubspot) and assists technology partners in identifying opportunities to leverage new platforms, when applicable
- Aligns third party-tools roadmaps with marketing automation platforms (OfferFit, Stensul)
Essential Business Experience & Technical Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in email marketing, automated marketing programs and management of marketing automation platforms
- Certification or applicable years of experience with Marketo, Adobe Campaign Manager, Hubspot and Salesforce
- Proven ability to work with technology teams to translate marketing campaign objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing teams
- Experience across B2B, B2B2C and B2C marketing portfolios
- Experience in the financial services industry
- HS Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
