About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

As a Producer on Anthropic's Events Marketing team, you will own the end-to-end production of our core events—from project kickoff through on-site execution. You'll be the driving force behind how our events look, sound, and feel on stage, ensuring that every keynote, panel, demo, and audience moment is produced to the highest standard and authentically reflects Anthropic's brand and mission.

This role sits at the intersection of creative vision, technical production, and program management. You'll develop run-of-show documents, manage production timelines, direct rehearsals, coordinate with AV and staging vendors, and serve as the calm, decisive presence calling the show live. Whether we're producing an intimate executive gathering or a large-scale conference, you'll bring the strategic thinking and production expertise to create experiences that inform, inspire, and engage our audiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in high-stakes live environments, brings deep expertise in event production and stage management, and is excited to help shape how one of the world's leading AI companies shows up on the industry stage.

Key responsibilities
  • Own production for Anthropic's core events portfolio, including conferences, keynotes, summits, and tentpole moments, from pre-production through execution

  • Develop and manage all production documentation, including run-of-show scripts, cue sheets, production schedules, stage plots, and technical riders

  • Lead the creative and technical vision for stage design, lighting, audio, video, and scenic elements in partnership with internal creative teams and external production vendors

  • Direct rehearsals and speaker preparation sessions, providing coaching and feedback to ensure polished, confident presentations

  • Serve as the primary show caller or production lead on-site, coordinating all technical cues and managing real-time production decisions

  • Source, manage, and maintain relationships with external production partners including AV companies, staging vendors, lighting designers, and technical directors

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, communications, executive teams, and other stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into compelling show moments

  • Develop and manage production budgets, negotiating vendor contracts and tracking expenses against targets

  • Establish and evolve production best practices, templates, and processes to scale Anthropic's events program as the company grows

  • Conduct post-event production debriefs, capturing learnings and identifying opportunities to elevate future experiences

  • Stay current with emerging event production technologies, formats, and audience engagement techniques

Minimum qualifications
  • Have a strong portfolio of produced events demonstrating your ability to manage complex, multi-element productions from concept through execution

  • Are deeply knowledgeable about technical production disciplines including audio, video, lighting, LED, staging, and content playback systems

  • Have extensive experience developing run-of-show documentation and calling or directing live shows

  • Excel at speaker preparation and coaching, helping executives and subject-matter experts deliver compelling stage presentations

  • Are a skilled project manager who can juggle multiple concurrent productions with competing timelines and stakeholders

  • Have strong vendor management experience, with the ability to scope, negotiate, and oversee external production partners

  • Communicate clearly and effectively across technical production teams, creative partners, and executive stakeholders

  • Remain calm and decisive under pressure, with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt in real time during live events

  • Are a collaborative team player who brings positive energy to high-intensity production environments

Preferred qualifications
  • Have 10+ years of experience in live event production, show production, or technical event management, ideally with experience producing conferences, keynotes, or corporate events for technology companies
  • Experience producing events in the AI, technology, or enterprise software space

  • Background in broadcast, theatrical, or concert production that brings additional creative perspective to corporate events

  • Experience with hybrid or virtual event production, including streaming and broadcast workflows

  • Familiarity with emerging production technologies such as LED volumes, real-time graphics, or interactive audience engagement tools

  • Experience scaling an events program at a high-growth company, building processes and infrastructure alongside a growing team

  • A passion for Anthropic's mission of developing safe, beneficial AI systems and excitement about communicating that mission through live experiences

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Come work with us!

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
