Marketing Manager

CircleCI helps more than two million developers ship software confidently. The market is moving fast and so are we. Today, the way software is built and shipped is getting turned on its head, and we are building solutions to meet the moment. Our team is small by design, the problems are interesting, and the category is at an inflection point. You will be close to the decisions that shape what is next.

We are looking for someone who is excited to grow their career as a marketer and wants to do that here, at CircleCI, at this particular moment.

What You'll Do

A day in the life might look like you start your day scheduling social posts for the week in Sprout, spend an hour with the CEO drafting org-wide messaging, then meet with your manager to discuss what's blocked and where she can help you move forward, and end the day supporting customer communications for an incident nobody saw coming.

The next day? It looks different. The to-do list is mixed and it moves fast. In return, you will grow fast. This role will give you the confidence to take on anything that's now and next, and do it well.

  • Strategize on the best ways to reach our core audiences; develop and execute campaigns across multiple channels
  • Contribute to brand narrative and thought leadership across formats and audiences
  • Translate customer insights into messaging and creative concepts
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to understand what we are building, for whom, and why it matters
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on blog posts, talk tracks, op-eds, and other formats
  • Own workstreams end-to-end, from planning and scheduling to reporting, using tools like Linear and Sprout to keep things on track and visible
  • Track what is working, flag what is not, and propose what to try next
What We're Looking For

You have a few years of experience across a range of marketing disciplines and you are more broad than deep. You might have worked in some core areas like social, PR, executive and internal communications, email, or content, but you're probably not an expert (and so, you should apply). We are looking for someone who sees a diverse scope as a feature not a bug, and wants to continue building a broad array of skills.

The ideal candidate is someone who is curious and excited to experiment and learn. You are energized by solving problems and delivering something great to our customers. You care about the outcome, not just your piece of it, and you bring people along because you get that what we are playing here is a team sport.

  • Comfortable moving between strategy development, project planning, and executing the tasks
  • Can produce content that connects with customers
  • Has a point of view on what good looks like and shares it
  • Does not need a complete brief to start moving, learns by shipping fast
  • Collaborative by nature, welcomes feedback, and does not confuse effort with quality
  • Uses AI tools to 10x great work and find efficiencies, and also, knows when to throw out what doesn't meet the mark
  • Interested in developer tools and the software development ecosystem
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or technical product environments

Share an example of work you created or collaborated on and why you are proud of it. Briefly (under 50 words) describe your role in the project and the reasons why you are proud to share it with us.
