About the role

We are hiring the first dedicated operations and compliance leader to build the compliance function from the ground up and accelerate enterprise go-to-market execution. The role combines compliance, security coordination, GTM enablement, finance operations, and general company-building. You will work onsite five days per week in San Francisco, which is preferred, or New York.

What you will do

• Own and build the compliance program across SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and related frameworks

• Accelerate enterprise deals by managing security reviews and vendor questionnaires

• Design and automate operational processes using AI and LLM tools

• Coordinate security, finance, go-to-market, and other cross-functional workstreams

• Reduce manual compliance work through better systems, documentation, and automation

• Define a meaningful portion of the role based on evolving company needs

• Build the operating rhythm for a new function in a fast-growing environment


Requirements

What we are looking for

• Experience in product strategy, management consulting, or startup operations, with direct exposure to Payments, Accounting, or Insurance

• A top tier management consulting background, or startup and founder experience at Seed to Series C where you wore many hats across sales, implementation, and strategy

• A track record taking a new product or a new market from zero to one, and owning the outcome

• P&L ownership, or M&A and diligence experience running several workstreams at once (banking, private equity, venture, or corporate development also work)

• Built and executed go to market strategies for B2B SaaS products yourself, not just contributed to them

• Bachelor's degree from a top tier university

Bonus points

• MBA, or a top tier management consulting pedigree

• CPA, or hands on experience with payment processing, AP and AR

• Comfort demoing a technical product to enterprise buyers

Location and work model

• New York City, hybrid, 4 to 5 days per week in office

• Some travel as needed

• Open to visa transfers (OPT and H1B transfersWhat we are looking for

• Three to seven years of experience in business operations, consulting, compliance, or a chief of staff role

• Hands-on exposure to at least one compliance program or framework such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS

• Experience at a high-growth Series A to Series C startup or in a top-tier consulting environment

• A generalist operator who is comfortable building processes from scratch

• Active use of AI or LLM tools to automate repetitive work

• Strong communication, presentation, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills

• Willingness to work onsite full-time in San Francisco or New York

Nice to have

• Experience accelerating enterprise sales through security and compliance work

• Familiarity with GRC platforms and cloud infrastructure

• Finance operations or security operations exposure

• Experience supporting Fortune 500 customers
