About the Team

We are a small and fast-moving partnerships team that shapes and executes all aspects of collaboration with partners building consumer applications and devices. Your mission in this role is to launch and scale partnerships spanning products, platforms and other key initiatives at OpenAI. This role sits at the intersection of product, growth, and partnerships — supporting and accelerating our expansion across Asia-Pacific.

About the Role

As an APAC Partner Manager – Growth, you will be based in San Francisco and work closely with APAC-based Product Partnerships leadership to support and scale key partners across Asia. Your mandate is to expand adoption of OpenAI products across the region by helping partners build high-quality, useful experiences for users. You’ll work to deepen integrations, support sustainable growth, and bring successful partnerships to life in ways that deliver clear value for both users and partners.

You will operate as a critical bridge between global product teams and regional partners — ensuring alignment, execution velocity, and strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategy and execution for priority APAC partners, with a focus on product adoption, engagement and long-term user value

  • Identify and operationalize opportunities across distribution, product integrations, and partner-led initiatives that improve user experience and accessibility

  • Support end-to-end partnership lifecycle: evaluation, deal structuring, launch, optimization, and renewal

  • Collaborate with APAC leadership on partner strategy, while driving execution from SF across internal teams

  • Act as the central point of coordination between APAC partners and US-based product, engineering, legal, and marketing teams

  • Ensure clear communication, alignment on priorities, and rapid issue resolution across time zones

  • Establish and manage structured engagement with partners (e.g., business reviews, growth planning, performance tracking)

  • Drive accountability on both sides to deliver against agreed KPIs and track success metrics (e.g., WAU growth, new users, retention, revenue contribution)

  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations for partners and internal stakeholders

  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with partner stakeholders across APAC markets

  • Surface new opportunities for expansion, deeper integration, and long-term strategic collaboration that benefit users and partners

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, product partnerships, or product within the technology industry.

  • Mandarin language proficiency preferred (business-level fluency ideal)

  • Proven experience working with or supporting partners across APAC markets (e.g., Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia)

  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer behavior in Asia

  • Experience supporting product integrations and/or growth partnerships with measurable outcomes

  • Highly effective cross-functional operator, with experience working across product, engineering, legal, finance, and marketing

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and time zones

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining high execution velocity

  • Experience working between US HQ and APAC regional teams is a strong plus
