About Eridan

Eridan connects the robots powering the physical AI era. It's how we're delivering on our mission: connect the planet to empower a sustainable, shared future. Our patented transmitter delivers the fast, reliable wireless that robots depend on, while transforming the economics of connectivity, slashing costs and energy footprint by 10x at a global scale. Beyond robotics, our private 5G networks serve campuses, cities, industry, and defense. From our headquarters in Sunnyvale to our office in Zagreb, we're a team that owns our work, speaks candidly, and moves with focus and urgency. Learn more about our mission here.

About the role

Lay out the boards that connect today's robots and power the physical AI era.

We're looking for a hands-on PCB layout engineer to lead the end-to-end physical layout of our complex, high-density boards: GaN RF power stages up to 10 GHz sitting next to FPGAs, DDR4 and high-current power. The layout decisions you make (board size, stackup, thermal paths, RF isolation) become the size, power and link reliability that robots and physical AI depend on. You'll work directly with system architects, RF engineers and our manufacturing partners, have real say in our design rules, libraries, vendors and layout workflow, and help lay out the first generation of Eridan hardware designed to live on the robot itself.

What you'll do

PCB layout and design

  • Execute high-density, multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer, from stackup and placement through routing, review and release.
  • Route complex mixed-signal circuits, including high-speed digital interfaces (FPGA/BGA fanout, DDR4) and RF paths up to 10 GHz.
  • Apply constraint management and advanced routing rules to protect signal and power integrity across sensitive RF/analog and digital domains.

Vendor collaboration and manufacturing

  • Work directly with PCB fabrication and PCBA assembly partners to select vendors, confirm capabilities, establish stackups and streamline production.
  • Incorporate design for manufacturability, assembly and test (DFx) feedback to reduce cost and maximize yield.
  • Match design tolerances and material choices to vendor capabilities for robust quality at the right cost.

Process improvement and workflow

  • Build and maintain schematic symbols and footprints from datasheets to IPC and Eridan library standards.
  • Contribute to internal PCB design standards and layout guidelines.
  • Take part in formal schematic and layout design reviews to keep raising hardware quality.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years of professional PCB layout experience in Altium Designer.
  • A track record of mixed-signal PCB designs that include RF layout up to 10 GHz.
  • Strong skills routing complex FPGA/BGA footprints and high-speed digital buses (DDR4).
  • Solid knowledge of stackup design, impedance control, grounding and plane partitioning, and signal/power integrity fundamentals.
  • Experience creating component libraries from datasheets to IPC standards.
  • Direct work with PCB/PCBA vendors through selection, NPI and production ramp.
  • A good grasp of DFx principles and cost-optimization in complex board layouts.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Nice to have

  • Thermal management in high-power-density designs, especially GaN or RF power amplifiers.
  • Experience as an ECAD or PCB librarian, owning a central, IPC-compliant component library (part creation standards, review and release, and lifecycle management).
  • IPC CID or CID+ certification.

How we work

We are a small team doing hard hardware. Priorities shift as products move from lab to field, so we value people who learn fast, solve problems before they're asked, and keep their teammates informed along the way.

Perks of working at Eridan

  • Work on new technology that will make a significant impact on global infrastructure
  • Ability to learn, develop, and advance within a flexible environment
  • Collaborate with smart, passionate, and helpful co-workers
  • Celebrate progress company-wide
  • Pre-IPO equity
  • 401K with automatic match
  • Health, Vision and Dental insurance

Salary Range

Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $135,000 and $175,000 plus stock options and benefits.
