About Broccoli 🥦

At Broccoli, we're building AI teammates for the people who build and maintain our world.

We partner with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors, the hardworking businesses that keep homes and communities running, and replace fragmented software and repetitive manual work with AI that actually gets the job done.

Our AI teammates answer phones, book appointments, follow up with customers, recover missed revenue, and help contractors deliver exceptional customer experiences, all while integrating seamlessly with platforms like ServiceTitan.

Before we wrote a single line of code, we visited more than 140 contractors to understand how these businesses truly operate. That firsthand experience shaped everything we've built.

Today:

  • Hundreds of contractors rely on Broccoli every day.

  • We've grown to $15M+ ARR in under two years.

  • We're trusted by everyone from independent contractors to some of the largest private equity backed operators in the home services industry.

  • We're backed by Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator.

We're still just getting started.
The Role

Broccoli is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to serve as the right hand to our Director of People. This person will be the glue that holds our day-to-day people operations together — owning the details that make our employees feel taken care of, while also handling core HR administrative work. This is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety, loves being the go-to person for questions, and wants to help build culture at a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own employee engagement and recognition programs — planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives that build culture and celebrate our team

  • Lead the new hire onboarding experience end-to-end: preparing workspaces before day one, greeting new hires at the door, and making sure their first days feel welcoming and organized

  • Manage new hire swag inventory and prep — ensuring swag is stocked, prepped ahead of new hire start dates, and sent out in time for arrival

  • Help coordinate device and equipment setup for new employees, including ordering desks, monitors, and other workstation needs

  • Own new hire checklist completion — tracking progress and following up directly with new hires on outstanding onboarding items

  • Handle core HR administrative tasks, including sending offer letters and maintaining accurate employee records

  • Run regular HR reports and pull data as needed to support the Director of People and leadership

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR questions, escalating to the Director of People as needed

  • Partner directly with the Director of People on ongoing HR projects and initiatives

  • Act as a champion of in-office culture — keeping our SF office running smoothly and looking for ways to make it a great place to work

  • Support general HR administrative needs as they come up — this role is a true catchall for People Ops

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR/People Operations

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail — able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  • A warm, welcoming presence — someone who genuinely enjoys being the face of the office and making people feel taken care of

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiar with Rippling as an HRIS system, and comfortable using AI tools to build workflows and improve processes

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset — someone who spots what needs to get done and does it, rather than waiting to be asked

  • Discretion and good judgment when handling sensitive employee information

Broccoli is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. We celebrate diverse perspectives and believe great teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.
