Pharmacy Tech

Holiday Rotation: 

Department: Pharmacy

Assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist.

Minimum Education:

• High school graduate; completion of course work leading to licensure as a Pharmacy Technician

Minimum Experience/Skills: Minimum of one (1) year experience in hospital pharmacy including automation and aseptic preparation of large volume parenterals, intravenous antibiotics, chemo-therapeutic agents, and total parenteral nutrition highly preferred OR, minimum of five (5) years recent retail pharmacy experience required.

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

1. Pharmacy Technician license with California State Board of Pharmacy

• Ability to read computer generated reports and labels
• Ability to read VDT displays

• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
