A self starter and result oriented individual responsible for forecasting demand, planning inventory, and managing the procurement of materials or products to ensure inventory stock levels. This role combines strategic planning with souring/procurement responsibility to support manufacturing operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project, production, or inventory plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Experienced in using MRP systems for efficient materials planning, inventory control, and production scheduling.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to align resources and expectations.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze demand forecast and sales data to determine material schedule plan.
  • Place purchase orders based on inventory requirements and forecasted demand.
  • Track supplier performance, lead times, and order accuracy to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze inventory data and purchasing trends to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for forecasts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Support vendor negotiations to improve pricing, terms, and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and procurement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning, buying, or supply chain roles.
  • Experienced in using MRP systems for efficient materials planning, inventory control, and production scheduling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Expendable, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
