About Factory

Our mission is to create a world where software builds and improves itself.
We build the platform for self-improving software development, helping the world's largest enterprise engineering teams turn their organizations into autonomous software factories. Customers including Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile run Factory to ship code, review PRs, run tests, and deploy continuously - getting smarter with every cycle.
In 2026, we raised $200M at a $5B valuation, bringing our total funding to over $400M. We are backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake).

About the Role

Factory is seeking talented platform engineers to help strengthen our core platform, with a focus on platform services and enhancing developer experience.

What you will do and achieve
  • Play a leading role in the design, development, and optimization of the Factory platform and all of it’s core services and internal systems.

  • Drive key areas, including search and indexing systems, core infrastructure, integrations, authentication services, billing and organization management, and internal developer experience.

  • Enhance the developer experience by creating and refining internal tooling to streamline the engineering experience, with emphasis on usability, efficiency, and smooth onboarding.

  • Work closely with our AI researchers and engineers to ensure seamless integration between AI-driven components and the foundational systems that support them.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, security, and architecture design, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Qualifications
  • A strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 3+ years of experience in full stack engineering roles.

  • Proven experience as a software engineer, with a demonstrable ability to build complex, high-performance, and reliable systems. Experience in developing tools for software analysis or in domains like compilers, runtime systems, or similar areas is highly valued.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), and familiarity with software engineering tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).

  • Knowledge of systems programming and an understanding of how to work with large codebases and the challenges involved in manipulating and understanding code at scale.
