About the Role

We’re hiring a Principal Product Designer, Growth to lead the design strategy and execution across acquisition, onboarding, and activation. This role reports to the Head of Product Design and is focused on shaping how new clients discover Stitch Fix, understand our value, and take their first meaningful actions.

You’ll collaborate across teams to evolve onboarding from a traditional, static flow into a more dynamic, personalized experience that adapts to client intent. This includes leveraging AI both in how we design and test experiences, and in the products themselves, from more responsive onboarding flows to richer, more visual and interactive ways of understanding style.

You’ll set direction, influence product strategy, and deliver high-impact work that drives measurable growth. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Merchandising to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and bring new ideas to market. This role requires someone equally strong in strategy and design execution.

This is a rare opportunity to define growth at a company with a differentiated model that blends human styling and AI. You’ll have the space to explore new approaches, build on strong foundations, and shape how Stitch Fix grows in its next phase.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Reimagine onboarding and first value: Evolve onboarding into a dynamic, personalized experience that adapts to client intent, helps clients quickly understand what Stitch Fix can do for them, and creates clear paths to first conversion
  • Expand how clients discover Stitch Fix: Design new acquisition entry points across product, partnerships, and emerging channels, leveraging core experiences such as anchor items, merchandising, collaborations, and influencers, and exploring referral loops and other product-led growth mechanisms
  • Drive activation and early lifecycle: Define how we bring clients back and deepen engagement beyond the first interaction, connecting onboarding, early engagement, and reactivation into a cohesive system focused on the highest-leverage moments
  • Balance iteration and new bets: Improve core flows while testing new approaches to acquisition and activation, moving quickly from concept to experiment and partnering with Data Science to define hypotheses and learning agendas
  • Lead through craft and influence: Set a high bar for quality, clarity, and usability, translating complex ideas into simple, intuitive experiences and influencing cross-functional partners to shape product direction
We’re excited about you because…
  • You have 8–12+ years designing consumer products, with meaningful experience in conversion and acquisition driving experiences
  • You have a proven ability to operate at a principal level, owning ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces
  • You possess strong product thinking paired with excellent design craft
  • You have experience driving measurable impact on acquisition, conversion, or engagement
  • You are comfortable working in fast-moving, experiment-driven environments
  • You are a strong communicator with the ability to influence across teams and levels
  • You possess experience with personalization, recommendations, or AI-driven experiences
Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix...
  • We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. We value integrity, innovation and trust. You’ll bring these characteristics to life in everything you do at Stitch Fix.
  • We cultivate a community of diverse perspectives— all voices are heard and valued.
  • We are an innovative company and leverage our strengths in fashion and tech to disrupt the future of retail.
  • We win as a team, commit to our work, and celebrate grit together because we value strong relationships.
  • We boldly create the future while keeping equity and sustainability at the center of all that we do.
  • We are the owners of our work and are energized by solving problems through a growth mindset lens. We think broadly and creatively through every situation to create meaningful impact.
  • We offer comprehensive compensation packages and inclusive health and wellness benefits.
