Overview

Lead the vision and execution for the fastest growing, next-generation agentic AI products at Copilot. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager (PM) for the Agentic Experiences team within the AI Experiences (AIX) organization at Microsoft to drive quality and reliability for core capabilities across Cowork and Autopilot.

  • Copilot Cowork is Microsoft's agentic system for delegating complex, multi-step work. Describe the outcome you want, and Cowork builds a plan, grounds it in your emails, meetings, files and data, and carries it out across Microsoft 365, with checkpoints that keep you in control. It's generally available worldwide, and more than half of the Fortune 500 already use it.
  • Autopilot is a new kind of always-on, digital teammate in Microsoft Copilot. It has its own identity and memory, works in the background across Teams, Outlook and your documents, and acts on your behalf without being prompted each time. It operates within your organization's permissions and policies, so work keeps moving even when you're not at your desk.

As a Principal PM, you will be a part of a high-impact team dedicated to translating breakthrough model & harness innovation into transformative products for Copilot. The Agentic Experiences team thrives on rapid innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and a culture that values curiosity, autonomy, and bold problem-solving. We seek PMs who have shipped 0-to-1 agentic products at leading AI startups or labs, driven growth or mindshare in the AI space, and excel in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

If you’re energized by building the future of generative AI experiences and want to shape how intelligent agents empower millions, we want to hear from you.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

AI Experiences employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft Hub in the U.S. are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities
  • Identify user workflows where AI adds clear value, basing decisions on data and user feedback.
  • Turn model capabilities into specific product features, define MVPs, and refine them using user and business metrics.
  • Work directly with research, engineering, and design to turn AI research into practical products that scale and serve users well.
  • Create and use evaluation methods to track product quality, user experience, and safety throughout development.
  • Set up data processes for sourcing, labeling, and using data to boost model and product performance.
  • Work with infrastructure and platform teams to balance capability, speed, cost, and reliability for scalable products.
  • Write clear documents to keep stakeholders aligned on product goals, priorities, and decisions.
  • Promote adoption by showing how technical features translate into user benefits and growth.
  • Make informed decisions in uncertain situations, manage risks and incidents, and support continuous improvement through postmortem review
