Own and scale Bobyard’s revenue operations function across sales, marketing, customer success, and finance. Design the end-to-end GTM architecture, unify CRM and billing systems, build forecasting and revenue intelligence, optimize territories and resources, prevent revenue leakage, and improve conversion and retention. This hands-on player-coach role also manages deal desk, quota and compensation processes, establishes foundational workflows, and provides strategic direction during the company’s Series A growth stage.

About Bobyard

Construction is a trillion dollar industry running on manual work. Contractors still measure and count materials off drawings by hand — it takes forever. Bobyard uses AI to automate takeoffs and estimates, making bids 10x faster. We're Series A, backed by 8VC, Primary, and Pear, and we're growing uncomfortably fast.

About the role

We’re at a pivotal stage in our growth, and we’re looking for our first dedicated Head of Revenue Operations to architect and scale our revenue engine. You’ll be a strategic RevOps operator and horizontal owner of our revenue ecosystem who thinks in networks rather than silos. You will unify our GTM stack (HubSpot, Clay, Equals, Lemlist, Intercom, and billing tools), evaluate new software, and drive alignment across sales, customer success, marketing, and finance. This is a player-coach role where you’ll zoom in to establish foundational processes and zoom out as effectively to drive long-term strategy, predictability, and efficiency as we scale through our next stage of growth.

What you'll do

  • Revenue Strategy & Architecture: Design and manage the end-to-end GTM architecture, from lead generation to renewal. Define the roadmap for the systems, data structures, and operational processes that allow us to scale, ensuring clear accountability across every handoff.

  • Revenue Intelligence & Forecasting: Own the revenue engine's visibility. Implement leading indicators, forecasting models, and early-warning systems to provide leadership with a high-fidelity view of our trajectory and actionable insights on where to course-correct.

  • Efficiency & Resource Optimization: Continuously audit GTM performance to ensure capital efficiency. Identify and resolve revenue leakage, optimize resource allocation (territories, segments, headcount), and surface the primary constraints to our growth to maximize ROI.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the central owner of the revenue ecosystem, driving alignment across Sales, Marketing, CS, and Finance. Lead a scientific approach to commercial operations, iterating on GTM methodologies to drive continuous improvement in velocity, conversion, and net retention.

What we're looking for

  • Scale-up experience: 6+ years in RevOps, Sales Ops, or GTM systems roles with demonstrated success in scaling B2B SaaS startups through growth transitions (ideally including time as a first or founding RevOps hire)

  • Hands-on CRM administration experience (HubSpot or Salesforce) — you've built workflows and automations yourself, not just directed others to

  • A track record of unifying disconnected systems — sales, CS, and billing — into one coherent stack

  • Real experience owning forecasting, deal desk, and quota/comp processes

  • Comfort operating without a lot of oversight — you've built something from scratch before, not just run a mature system

  • Some experience managing or mentoring at least one other person

  • Strategic operator mindset: ability to think in networks rather than silos, zooming out to guide high-level strategy as fluently as you zoom in to execute nitty-gritty systems work

Nice to have

  • SQL or workflow-automation fluency

  • Experience in vertical or complex B2B SaaS (construction, industrial, or similarly "unsexy" markets)

  • Experience standing up a RevOps function at a Series A–B startup specifically

What we offer

  • $165K–$185K base + performance bonus + meaningful early-stage equity (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)

  • The chance to build Bobyard's entire revenue systems function from the ground up

  • A team that moves fast, takes full ownership, and keeps a healthy sense of humor

  • On-site in SF — we build together

Comp Philosophy

We are proud to offer competitive, top-of-market compensation because we want to celebrate the dedicated people who ship amazing work and drive our success. Our individual compensation is thoughtfully tailored based on your role, experience, and contributions, alongside performance-based rewards.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
