Built by a world-class team: Engineers, designers, and operators from places like Scale, Meta, Airbnb, Cruise, Square, Rubrik, and Lyft are building Eve from the ground up.
AI-Native from day one: We’re on the bleeding edge of AI, collaborating directly with teams at OpenAI and Anthropic to build best-in-class AI workflows tailored for legal work.
Explosive growth: We are growing 2X revenue Quarter over Quarter.

We're hiring a Principal Technical Recruiter to own hiring across Engineering, Product, and UX Design. You'll be a senior individual contributor and a strategic partner to our leadership team. You'll run full-cycle searches from intake to offer, and you'll also build the sourcing strategies,
interview processes, and hiring playbooks that help us scale. You'll be especially important in competing for AI and machine learning talent.

What You'll Do

  • Run full-cycle recruiting for a broad range of roles across engineering (backend, frontend, infrastructure, security, data, mobile), product management, and product/UX design
  • Partner with hiring managers and executives to define role requirements, calibrate on what "great" looks like, and set realistic timelines and expectations Source and engage senior and hard-to-find candidates through creative outbound,
community engagement, referrals, and your own network
  • Lead our approach to AI/ML hiring, including research engineers, applied scientists, ML infrastructure engineers, and AI product leaders
  • Assess technical depth in candidates, hold substantive conversations about systems, architecture, ML concepts, and design process, and give hiring teams sharp,
    well-reasoned signal
  • Design and continuously improve interview loops, scorecards, and structured evaluation for technical, product, and design roles
  • Close candidates: build compelling narratives, manage competing offers, and guide candidates through compensation and decision-making
  • Use data (pipeline metrics, conversion rates, time-to-hire, source effectiveness) to forecast, spot bottlenecks, and make the case for where to invest
  • Build and refine recruiting processes, tooling, and best practices as we scale, and mentor other recruiters and coordinators as the team grows
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience and inclusive hiring practices

What We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years of technical recruiting experience, including significant time in-house at high-growth startups (Seed through Series C+ or equivalent)
  • Strong technical fluency: you can speak credibly with engineers about architecture, tradeoffs, and tech stacks, and you understand the differences between engineering specialties well enough to screen effectively
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with engineers, product leaders, and executives in a startup environment, understanding the unique needs of a high-growth AI-focused organization.
  • Proven track record sourcing and hiring AI/ML talent, including research scientists, ML engineers, and applied AI roles, and a genuine understanding of the AI landscape (LLMs, model training, inference, evals, MLOps, etc.)
  • Experience recruiting across engineering, product, and design, with a strong grasp of how each function evaluates talent
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you've built process from scratch and hired at speed without lowering the bar
  • Expert-level sourcing skills: Boolean, GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, conference and community mapping, and creative outbound that gets responses from passive candidates
  • Excellent closing skills with senior and in-demand candidates, including competitive offer situations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management, with the credibility to push back on hiring managers and advise executives
  • Data-driven approach to recruiting, with comfort in an ATS (Greenhouse preferred) and pipeline reporting

You Will Thrive in This Role If You Have:

  • A genuine passion for relationship-building, with a people-first approach to recruiting.
  • Deep knowledge of the Bay Area technical talent pool
  • A strong technical foundation and ability to discuss technical roles and requirements effectively.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach to solving recruitment challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High empathy and EQ, enabling you to connect meaningfully with both candidates and team members.
  • A data-driven mindset, utilizing metrics to inform and enhance recruitment strategies.
