The Process Engineer I plays a key role in improving operational efficiency by supporting capital and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing standard processing procedures to optimize plant performance.

- Manage procedural changes or process modifications, and establish operating procedures for the plant to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times
- Design, run, test and upgrade systems, and assess processes
- Develop routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Conduct safety assessments to ensure safe practices
- Improve and create process documentation, training, and standard operating procedures
- Lead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projects
- Support the process procedures by partnering with operating employees in various departments to collect, analyze, and implement results via training or capital expenditure recommendations
- Oversee contractor partnerships
- Perform general equipment and process troubleshooting to support plant operations
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineering
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function or repeat Co-Op programs
- Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- Have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility
