Our ambition is bold: to build one of the best and least bureaucratic Procurement teams in the technology space, driving cost efficiency through strategic partnerships and a highly skilled, diverse, and engaged team.

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to help accelerate Nubank’s business expansion in the United States. This role can be based in Palo Alto, California, or Miami, Florida.

You will act as a key partner to the business, helping shape sourcing and contracting decisions with a strong focus on financial impact, risk mitigation, process efficiency, and early adoption of AI in Procurement routines. You will report to the Senior Manager of Procurement and will work across contracts and multiple categories in a highly cross-functional environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, navigating local market dynamics and regulatory requirements, and building scalable solutions that support a fast-growing business. We are looking for someone who is energized by using AI and digital tools to improve visibility, decision-making, stakeholder experience, and vendor performance management.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing robust negotiation strategies and cost targets by leveraging market dynamics, benchmarks, and key category trends.
  • Managing strategic and relevant sourcing categories while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Leading and supporting sourcing and contracting initiatives that strengthen financial outcomes, improve existing processes, and enable business scalability.
  • Acting as a trusted Procurement partner for US business needs, ensuring local demands and contracting approaches are aligned with applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Driving consistency and high-quality execution across contracting and supplier management practices, while influencing stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the sourcing and contract lifecycle.
  • Using data, technology, analytical tools, and AI-enabled solutions to improve category management, decision-making, and Procurement visibility.
  • Driving early adoption of AI in Procurement routines, using AI tools to optimize team workflows, increase productivity, and improve the quality and speed of execution.
  • Leveraging AI and digital solutions to support performance management across routines, stakeholder interactions, supplier governance, and vendor relationship management.
  • Building and maintaining dashboards and visual management mechanisms that provide clear visibility into financial impact, risks, deadlines, pipeline status, and sourcing performance.
  • Analyzing budgets, spending patterns, supplier opportunities, and operational signals to uncover efficiency gains and better commercial outcomes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, reduce friction, and strengthen Procurement’s operating model.

We are looking for someone who has

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, or Contract Management, ideally in fast-paced, technology-driven, or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong negotiation and sourcing skills, with the ability to balance business ambition, commercial value, and risk management.
  • Experience working across multiple categories and managing contracts in partnership with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations and action plans.
  • Experience using AI tools and digital solutions to improve routines, productivity, quality of deliverables, and visibility for decision-making.
  • Experience building, structuring, or using dashboards and visual management tools to track financial impact, risks, deadlines, and performance.
  • A hands-on mindset and a genuine interest in improving processes, creating scalable solutions, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence clearly and objectively across seniority levels.
  • Strong prioritization and project management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and move quickly without losing quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.

Why this role is special

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to help build Procurement capabilities in a strategic growth market while helping shape a more AI-enabled way of working. You will have the chance to work on meaningful business decisions, influence cross-functional stakeholders, strengthen vendor and stakeholder management through smarter routines, and help design scalable processes that combine speed, governance, financial discipline, and better visibility of risks and deadlines.
