Summary of the position:

The Product Manager, Global, Oil-Flooded Compressors is responsible for developing and executing the global product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for the Sullair Oil-Flooded compressor portfolio. This role drives profitable growth through market insight, product innovation, and cross-functional leadership.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the global product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap for the Oil-Flooded compressor portfolio.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle, including new product introduction, growth, optimization, rationalization, and end-of-life planning.
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives to identify unmet customer needs, market trends, and product improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and govern global pricing, positioning, and portfolio strategies that support revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams to drive new product development, cost optimization, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives.
  • Support demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and inventory optimization activities to improve business performance.
  • Lead global product launch activities, ensuring successful commercialization, market adoption, and achievement of business case objectives.
  • Monitor product line financial performance, including revenue, profitability, pricing realization, and return on investment.
  • Align global and regional stakeholders around product strategy, roadmap priorities, investment decisions, and market requirements.
  • Analyze sales performance, market penetration, and channel effectiveness to identify opportunities for growth and market share expansion.
  • Gather and analyze market, customer, competitive, and industry intelligence to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and product positioning analyses in collaboration with Engineering and commercial teams to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Develop and execute aftermarket growth strategies, including service offerings, parts, upgrades, and lifecycle value enhancement opportunities.
  • Serve as a product champion and train-the-trainer resource, ensuring organizational readiness and product knowledge across regions.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to Sales, Service, Customer Support, Marketing, and Operations teams as required.
  • Support customer engagement, channel partner development, industry events, and promotional activities to strengthen product awareness and market presence.
  • Lead the development of business cases and investment proposals for new products, product enhancements, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure portfolio health, product success, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to develop value propositions, messaging, sales tools, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable product regulations, industry standards, and sustainability initiatives across global markets.

  • Gross margin improvement of 1 to 3 points annually
  • 1-to-3-point market share gains in targeted segments
  • On-time completion of assigned NPD deliverables

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or Equivalent field
  • Product Mgmt. Program and / or Project Mgmt. Certification a plus
  • LEAN / 6 SIGMA a plus

Professional experience:

  • 5 to 10 years product management experience in industrial or capital equipment markets
  • Compressed air product management experience strongly preferred; rotating equipment experience considered
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
