Do you want to own the web experience for tens of millions of players, driving revenue and building community for the world’s leading location-based games? Join Niantic Games, now part of the Scopely family, as a Product Manager on the Player Experience Ecosystem (PXE) team. You will lead, innovate, and build outstanding D2C experiences across our suite of products, including Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, and Pikmin Bloom, with a focus on the Web Store and Campfire.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify D2C Opportunities: Partner with Game Producers and Designers to find friction points or engagement opportunities where a D2C channel (Web Store, Game Site, Campfire) can provide a unique solution.
  • Drive the D2C Roadmap: Create the vision and strategy for how our web properties enhance the core player journey, optimizing for revenue and community engagement.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as the bridge between Platform and Game Teams, translating "Game Design Intent" into "Platform Requirements" and vice versa.
  • Execution & Experimentation: Define and iterate based on success metrics, e.g. D2C KPIs (Web Store conversion, community engagement, retention/DAU).
  • Leverage the Ecosystem: Partner with Scopely Central teams to adopt and adapt D2C and platform technologies for Niantic’s location-based games..

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in Gaming, Consumer Mobile, or e-Commerce/Web Platforms.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, using data to inform product decisions.
  • Passion for Consumer UX: A deep understanding of UX and an intuition for what makes an interaction delightful.
  • Technical Fluency: Understand the fundamentals of web services, payment systems, and API design. Coding is not required.
  • Adaptive Learner: Proven track record of picking up new domains quickly. Comfortable tackling undefined problems.
  • Ownership: Experience managing trade-offs between creative desires and technical reality to achieve a shared outcome.

Plus If...

  • Experience launching features in a live service game on web or mobile (e.g., e-commerce, social features, community).
  • Hands-on experience with community or content management platforms.
  • Experience managing platform services that have direct end-user UI components (e.g., Social, Identity, Payments).

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA, the annual salary range is provided below. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
