About Town

Town is an AI-powered assistant that connects to your tools to do real work on your behalf — triaging your inbox, drafting in your voice, managing your schedule, and running workflows across everything you use. It knows you deeply and gets sharper over time.

About the Role

We're hiring a foundational Product Manager to join our small & mighty product team. You’ll partner closely with our existing PM and report directly into our co-founder and CPO Tony Vincent.

This is a central, high-leverage & high-visibility role on a tenured, lean team. You won't be a siloed PM shepherding a single feature spec inside a big org. You’ll own central parts of our product, bringing analytical, data-driven rigor to the product motion: setting cadence, driving process (but never just for process-sake!), and owning the unglamorous, operational work that gets product shipped.

What you'll work on
  • Push the frontier of what AI can do for users. Turn fast-moving model and agent capabilities into shipped product. You'll do this by bringing an AI-native workflow to your own craft, prototyping, spec'ing, and shipping faster than PMs ever previously thought possible.

  • Shape the core product experience. Drive improvements to the workflows our customers rely on most.

  • Build high-impact product bets from zero to launch. Lead new experiences that continue to differentiate and deepen our moat.

  • Define the future of team collaboration. Go deep with customers, study the market, and turn insights into a clear roadmap for how teams work together in the product.

  • Tackle complex product problems with simplicity. Help translate technically sophisticated systems into intuitive experiences for non-technical users.

  • Use data to make the product smarter. Partner closely with engineering, growth and bizops to understand user behavior, improve activation, and inform what the product should do next.

You might thrive in this role if you...
  • Operate at a staff or senior level. You thrive in collaborative environments where you’re trusted to work independently, and you particularly enjoy working with top 1% talent who ups your game when you collaborate with them.

  • Are a low-ego generalist. You’re happy to take on the unglamorous work, and energized by making the entire system better rather than owning a glamorous slice of it.

  • Are AI-fluent and AI-curious. You don't have to be the most technical person in the room, but you’re already leveraging AI to make you a better, faster PM and you’re excited about where the industry is going

  • Bring customer empathy to everything you do. You enjoy interfacing with customers, and you use your strong active listening skills to get to the root of a customer’s feedback.

  • Think from first principles in undefined, fast-moving situations. You’ve been historically successful and happy in roles that aren’t fully defined/scoped. You have good taste and high horsepower and you’re comfortable leaning into these attributes vs fitting into a textbook PM mold.

  • Are excited about working in-person in SF, five days a week.

Location

San Francisco, CA — five days a week in-person at our Financial District office (near Montgomery BART/Muni stop).

That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
