Rockstar is recruiting for a fintech platform that is building the next generation of accounting and reconciliation software for mid-market and enterprise companies. They are a well-funded seed-stage startup on a mission to modernize financial operations. Our client is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to build their pipeline content engine from scratch.

The Role

The company is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to build the company's pipeline content engine from zero. This is a hands-on, builder-operator role focused on mid-funnel and bottom-funnel content: the kind that moves buyers from awareness to conviction. The candidate will own the strategy, do the writing, build the production system, and measure what converts. The company is looking for someone who combines positioning instincts, editorial judgment, demand gen sensibility, and AI-native execution.

The company's audience is controllers and senior accounting leaders at mid-market and enterprise companies. They are pressed for time, allergic to hype, and responsible for some of the highest-stakes workflows in the business. Every asset produced should reflect that.

What you'll do
  • Build and own the company's pipeline content library: ebooks, guides, whitepapers, reports, ROI calculators, solution briefs, and landing pages
  • Write content that earns the respect of senior accounting leaders: clear, authoritative, and genuinely human in a world of AI-generated noise
  • Own the company's positioning and messaging and translate it into mid-funnel and bottom-funnel assets that move buyers toward a decision
  • Design and spec interactive tools including ROI calculators and maturity assessments that generate qualified pipeline
  • Build a repeatable content production system with strong briefs, editorial workflows, repurposing pipelines, and distribution processes
  • Monitor and improve the company's visibility across AI answer engines including ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI Overviews
  • Own the company newsletter as a pipeline nurture channel, including strategy, writing, cadence, and growth
  • Partner closely with demand generation and sales to ensure content supports campaigns and shortens sales cycles
  • Test new formats and channels with a bias toward fast experimentation and clear pipeline attribution
About you
  • Strong positioning instincts: can take a complex technical product and turn it into a narrative a senior buyer immediately understands
  • Proven ability to produce demand gen content that converts: ebooks, guides, reports, and calculators, not just editorial content for its own sake
  • Exceptional writer with strong editorial judgment, clarity of thought, and genuine voice: writes like a person, not a language model
  • Comfortable translating complex topics and workflows for a senior enterprise audience into simple and differentiated narratives
  • AI-native in workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Able to build systems and use AI as a force multiplier without losing voice
  • High velocity and strong judgment — ships, learns, and iterates quickly
  • Organized and self-directed in an early-stage environment
Must-haves
  • Experience at an early- to growth-stage startup (not just executing against an established playbook)
  • Experience building content strategy, roadmaps, and editorial systems
  • Strong understanding of content distribution, repurposing, and social
  • High quality bar and strong taste level
  • Experience using modern tools and AI for research and content
Strong plus
  • Background in accounting, finance, fintech, or close-adjacent software
  • Experience writing about accounting, reconciliation, or financial operations
  • Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI tooling
Why This Role Matters

Content is one of the clearest ways the company earns trust in a skeptical category. Most accounting content today is generic, SEO-driven, or written for beginners. The company is building the opposite: clear, high-signal content that senior accounting leaders actually respect. This role will define how the company shows up in the market and build a content engine that compounds.

Why Join Us
  • Impact from day 1: Own and scale the entire content engine.
  • Autonomy: High-agency environment. Ship fast, iterate faster, and own results end-to-end.
  • Join an AI-native company where AI is core to how they build and operate.
  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits.
