About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We are a newly formed, fast-growing team in Salesforce’s Chief Customer Officer (CCO) organization, within the Office of the CEO. We sit at the intersection of customer insight, pricing and packaging, field readiness, executive narrative, and go-to-market execution. We work directly with senior leaders across Product, Field, Pricing, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success to frame the company’s most important strategic questions and drive them to decision.
We are hiring a Director, Growth Planning to own how the company decides where to invest and holds itself to the results. You will build the business cases behind major growth investments and run the governance that tracks them from approval to delivered value.
The Role

  • Own the business case process for major growth and investment initiatives. This includes the revenue, cost, payback, and risk assumptions, and the scenario models behind them.
  • Set the standards and templates for business cases, so proposals across Product, Field, and Pricing are comparable and decision-ready.
  • Run the governance cadence for planning and investment reviews. This covers the agenda, decision rights, escalation paths, and follow-through.
  • Track approved initiatives against committed targets. Report progress, variances, and benefits realization to executive leadership, and recommend course corrections.
  • Lead trade-off discussions with senior stakeholders and drive them to a clear decision without direct authority.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Product to set, challenge, and align the assumptions and inputs behind each case and the broader plan.
  • Make sound recommendations from imperfect or incomplete inputs, and be explicit about risks and confidence levels.
  • Prepare executive materials and narratives for planning cycles and leadership reviews.
  • Build and mentor a small team of planning and analytics talent, and set the bar for rigor and quality.

You’re Our Person If

  • You have 10+ years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, FP&A, corporate development, or consulting, including ownership of complex investment cases.
  • You have deep financial modeling and scenario analysis skills, and you are comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You have run or shaped governance processes, such as investment committees, planning councils, or program reviews, and you make them effective rather than bureaucratic.
  • You have a record of influencing C-suite and VP-level stakeholders across functions and building consensus.
  • You use broad business judgment and a structured, consulting-style approach to problem solving.
  • You communicate clearly, in writing and in person, to executive audiences.
  • You coach and develop others.

Even Better If

  • You have a consulting or broad cross-functional background.
  • You have experience with business intelligence tools or basic coding (for example SQL or Python).
  • You understand enterprise software economics, including bookings, revenue, retention, and cost-to-serve.
  • You have experience with consumption-based or usage-based pricing models.
  • You have experience with benefits tracking or value realization frameworks.

Unleash Your Potential
