Northland Controls is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our growing Operations team in Fremont, California. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven security industry professional who enjoys leading complex programs, developing project teams, and partnering with customers to deliver sophisticated security solutions.
In this role, you will lead a team of Project Managers and oversee the successful delivery of complex security, access control, and CCTV programs for some of the world's leading technology companies. You'll provide leadership across project execution, financial performance, customer relationships, and operational delivery while partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, and external suppliers.

What You'll Do- Lead and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex security projects and programs.
- Oversee program execution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Maintain strong project and financial controls, including budgets, forecasts, schedules, resource planning, and overall program performance.
- Partner with customers to understand requirements, manage expectations, resolve challenges, and maintain strong long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects progressing effectively.
- Monitor program risks, dependencies, milestones, and financial performance and take proactive action when issues arise.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while establishing clear expectations and accountability for results.
- Support resource planning and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational processes, and overall customer experience.
- Provide regular program updates and performance reporting to business leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support customer meetings, project reviews, and other business activities requiring travel as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Operations and Project Management organization.
- Significant experience managing complex, high-value projects or programs within the security industry.
- Proven experience leading and developing Project Managers and project teams.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and related technologies.
- Experience with Lenel, Software House, or similar enterprise security platforms; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
- Strong understanding of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and project controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and business partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and drive issues through resolution.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
