About the role

Uber’s Paid Marketing team helps drive growth for millions of customers and earners around the world. We’re looking for a senior performance marketing strategist to lead paid marketing strategy for Delivery in our largest mega-region, the Americas.

In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of business strategy, analytics, and paid media. You’ll identify the biggest growth opportunities for Delivery, determine where Paid can have the greatest impact, and shape how we invest across markets and channels.

You’ll partner with regional Delivery leaders, global channel teams, Science, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to turn complex business problems into clear strategies and investment decisions. This is a strategy role, not a campaign execution role—you’ll be expected to bring a strong analytical point of view, challenge existing plans, and drive decisions across a highly cross-functional organization.

What you'll do

Lead Paid Marketing Strategy
  • Translate Delivery business priorities into cross-channel paid growth strategies across the Americas.
  • Determine where and how Paid should invest across markets, channels, audiences, and initiatives.
  • Identify, test, and scale new approaches to drive incremental Delivery growth.
Drive Data-Driven Growth Decisions
  • Analyze performance and business trends to identify opportunities, risks, and root causes.
  • Use paid marketing fundamentals, acquisition economics, and measurement insights to evaluate investment tradeoffs.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear recommendations and decisions for senior stakeholders.
Influence Cross-Functional Decisions
  • Partner with Delivery, Channel, Science, Finance, and other teams to align on growth priorities.
  • Challenge existing plans and bring a clear Paid point of view to strategic business decisions.
  • Lead senior discussions to prioritize opportunities and align teams on the highest-impact investments.

Basic qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Performance Marketing, Growth Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Digital Media, or a related analytical growth function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience developing multi-channel paid marketing or growth strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, form hypotheses, analyze data, and make investment recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of paid marketing fundamentals, including ROAS, acquisition economics, attribution, incrementality, and performance measurement.
  • Experience making or influencing marketing investment and budget allocation decisions.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions preferred.
  • Experience working within the technology industry.
