Job Description

Let’s Talk about the Role

This is a combined Renewals Account Manager (RAM) and RAM Ops role. The primary focus is managing a defined renewal ARR portfolio (customer-facing). In addition, this role includes RAM Ops responsibilities covering renewals data governance, dashboards, and SFDC quality.
RAM Ops work is planned primarily during the renewal off-season (March–August). During peak renewal periods (September–February), portfolio management takes full priority.
The role is part of the RevOps model, working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Channel Management, Renewals O2C, and Finance.

The Renewals Account Manager (RAM) and RAM Ops is responsible for managing a defined portfolio of recurring software renewal ARR, ensuring high Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), on-time renewals, and accurate forecasting. This role is a key enabler of the company’s transition to an ARR-driven subscription business and positions renewals as a proactive, value-driven customer lifecycle touchpoint. In addition, this role includes RAM Ops responsibilities covering renewals data governance, dashboards, and SFDC quality.

The RAM / RAM Ops operates as part of the RevOps model, working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Channel Management, Renewals O2C, and Finance. Success is measured at portfolio level, not by individual transactions.

Key Responsibilities — RAM (Primary)

Renewal Portfolio Ownership

  • Own end-to-end renewal management for a defined ARR portfolio.
  • Drive proactive renewal engagement using standardized tiered cadences (T-x).
  • Be accountable for portfolio-level GRR, renewal rate, and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify renewal risks early and orchestrate mitigation plans with Sales and CSM.

Customer-Centric Renewal Experience

  • Act as the primary renewal contact for customers/sales, ensuring clarity, predictability, and value-focused communication.
  • Position renewals as strategic lifecycle conversations rather than transactional events.
  • Anticipate risks, objections, and contractual complexities ahead of renewal dates.
  • Support lifecycle reviews and QBRs for strategic and at-risk accounts.

Collaboration & Expansion Enablement

  • Work within the RAM–Sales–CSM collaboration model to ensure alignment.
  • Identify expansion signals during renewal conversations and coordinate handoff to Sales or Channel Managers.

Key Responsibilities — RAM Ops (Secondary)

Planned primarily during the renewal off-season (March–August). Portfolio management takes precedence during peak periods.

Data Quality & Reporting

  • Drive SFDC data quality and ensure renewals data accuracy for renewals and installed base.
  • Consolidate data from M&S Renewals, SFDC, Finance, and DT into a single renewals pipeline view.
  • Build and maintain RAM dashboards (GRR, churn, renewal pipeline, forecast accuracy, tier coverage).

Process & Systems

  • Partner with RevOps and Finance to provide accurate ARR forecasts and portfolio insights.
  • Act as RAM data steward: fields, definitions, reports, data quality standards.
  • Support the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) transition with ERP and SFDC/CPQ process knowledge.
  • Drive data quality initiatives toward >95% accuracy targets.

Team Coordination & Leadership Support

  • Support the Director, RAM in operational coordination, team alignment, and stakeholder communication.
  • Act as delegate for the Director during absences, ensuring continuity of decision-making and escalation handling.
  • Leverage operational and process expertise to support onboarding of new RAM team members.

Forecasting, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate renewal pipelines and forecasts in SFDC.
  • Ensure contracts, pricing logic, and renewal documentation are consistently captured.
  • Support the transition to a single source of truth for renewals and ARR reporting.
  • Actively use GenAI tools to improve productivity, insights, and customer communications.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the renewals playbook.

Skills for Success

You should be a strategic thinker and data-driven professional with:

  • The ability to manage complex, recurring revenue portfolios within a B2B software or SaaS environment.

  • The capability to navigate and optimize ERP and SFDC/CPQ systems to ensure high data integrity.

  • An understanding of the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) lifecycle and its impact on ARR forecasting.

  • An expertise in translating complex data into actionable insights for diverse business stakeholders.

  • A keen interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including GenAI, to improve operational productivity.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
