About Nudge

At Nudge, our mission is to develop the best technology for interfacing with the brain to improve people's lives. We're starting with an approach that we believe can help the most people the fastest, and also allow us to learn as much about the brain as possible: developing a non-invasive, ultrasound-based device that can stimulate and image the brain at high resolution and depth. This is a vertically integrated effort building cutting-edge hardware, software, and research capabilities to create products that can benefit millions — and eventually billions — of people.

To succeed, we need to assemble world-class teams across everything we do. We hire people who are exceptional at their craft, believe hard things are worth doing, and execute relentlessly — people who expect the highest levels of both rigor and integrity from each other.

About the role

As Research Operations Manager at Nudge, you will:

  • Lead the operational execution of human research studies from planning through completion

  • Manage and support the Research Staff responsible for day-to-day study execution

  • Work closely with researchers and engineers to develop operational plans that support research and device development priorities

  • Build and improve the systems, workflows, and processes that enable our research organization to scale

  • Coordinate participant operations, staffing, scheduling, equipment, and study logistics across multiple concurrent studies

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase study quality and throughput

  • Document study execution, communicate operational updates, and support regulatory activities

About you

We are looking for at least 5 years of directly relevant experience but regardless of your career level, you should have:

  • Experience leading research operations, study operations, program management, or similarly complex interdisciplinary projects

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Experience building processes and operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

  • Experience working closely with scientific researchers, engineers, and other technical teams

  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience supporting human-subject research is preferred but not required

  • High integrity and strong professional judgement
